Registration charge hike in MH ? - Team-BHP

Hi All,
I am not sure if this is a right place to post this.

I wanted to confirm if the Registration charges is hiked by 3% in maharashtra for new vehicle.

Yes you bet the rates have increased for Maharashtra by 3% now the Registration chrge will be 7% on the vehicles respiectively!

This was to be effective from 1st April 2006, but the dats got postporned to 21st April 2006 then 1st May 2006. Now on all the vehicles almost there will be a hike of around 15k to 20 k and more.

Yes,its true,that was the reason why I booked my car in april end...yipppeeee saved me some 15k ....

My friend is planning to book a car and he has been conducting test drives.All the dealers have told that the RTO tax has increased since Monday 8th May.....I guess that confirms it !
Initially,when I was planning to book my car,the delaers were trying to push me hard saying that it can increase anytime.....I did not listen to them but had this on my mind....and fortunately I took my delivery on April 30th !...saved 15K

Bad Luck for me.
I booked a chevrolet Travera on the 30th March.
But i was still charged the extra 3%

Had the a terrible experience with the Dealer.
