Mentioned in this post..
Ford Ikon front strut/shocks = 1355
Local dealer in mumbai says its 3300. I was shocked, asked whether he meant the price was for a pair. He said for single front strut/shock.

Could he be mistaken? Will appreciate if anyone can help where I can get strut/shocks in mumbai and at what price.

I recently got my Ikon's front struts replaced at the Ford authorised service centre.
It was some 1600+ bucks...I can't remember the figure exactly. But, it cost <2k.
This was done at 'Chennai Ford' in Arumbakkam.

So it seems to be like a cheap deal from the Ford since they are known for exorbitant spares.

Although a few spares are costly, I can definitely say most of the Ikon spares are equally priced if not cheaper to the Esteem's.
Thanks to localisation with good QC. Im completely enjoying my long term ownership of this sturdy car.

Can anyone from Hyderabad can tell me the cost of the head light assembly of Tata Indica which can be sourced locally rather than at the dealer. The dealer suggested a price of 3,000/- including labour charges for each!!!

You got a pretty decent deal on your strut change but i dont think u can ever compare the parts price of Ikon to Esteem..
Clutch overhaul for Ikon - 11k Esteem is under 5k for sure or even lesser.

dealers will charge you at MRP. MGP parts are available with local vendors for much under MRP. Look into your local auto spares shop for a better deal for the same product.

First you buy the car, then we'll tell you

I saw the price list before buying the car, and felt they are expensive.

Dealer told me things will settle in a year or so when mitsubishi comes to India on their own.

I had first experience too during first service when I got right side view mirror replaced. Paid 1450/- for one stupid mirror of 8" x 6" size. Assembly etc. was all intact.

Next time I'll get it cut from a mirror shop for Rs. 50 and fix myself. Only disadvantage will be matching the left & right mirrors and RVM for safe distance.

Ikon spare parts in Mumbai.
Front strut = 3000 (1 piece)
Rear Strut = 2700 (1 piece)
Front Spring = 4500 (1 piece)
Rear Spring = 3700 (1 piece)
Rubber/bush kit front = 1350 (per side)
Rubber/bush kit rear = 2000 (per side)
Front strut bearing = 800 (per piece)

nitrous seems to have got some incredible price (2k). Price in Mumbai seems much higher. Am planning to change my struts and would like to know if the price is reasonable for Mumbai. Would like to know price in other cities too.

By the way, are price of koni struts way above the price I mentioned above?

Searched for Hyundai Verna spare parts price list... without success.

Friend's banged his Verna into a pillar while reversing. Bumper and tail lights need replacement.

Can I know how much it would cost him?

Bumpers cost around 4k + paint work
Tail light would cost around Rs 1600 for one.
