Renault/Dacia Sandero:-)
It is setting a new benchmark in affordable motoring in europe.
Top end diesel costs less than Astar or i10 basic petrol models.

I would wish for a UK-spec Suzuki Swift Diesel top-end complete with full safety kit (ESP, TC and 6 or 7 airbags) and (I don't think this is offered in the UK-spec Swift) a VGT for more fun @ 90HP. Almost ALL other brands that have amazing VFM+FTD diesel cars have poor A$$ in India. So my only wish would be for a sporty, safe and reliable Maruti with a 5-Star Euro NCAP rating that I can buy for under 10 lacs OTR which can keep heart and mind happy at the same time.

I want:

Skoda to replace the Fabia with the Roomster. At the same price level
Ford to bring in the B-Max, price it on par with the Ertiga, and see Maruti sweat
BMW 328i with proper manual transmission

I'm sure no auto firm, especially German, would associate a car with Nuremberg.

Some cars I would love to see on Indian roads:

Chevrolet Camaro, the Mustang
Toyota Alphard: this is the big daddy of the Innova. Great for travelling with a large group. More space with the Toyota promise.

The range of Smart cars, they are from the Mercedes stable I think. Great for the environmentally responsible driver.

A few cars each from Mazda, Citroen.

Considering our market - and our road and traffic conditions - I wonder if we can actually afford to wish a lot of large cars for our consumption. Given a choice - I would like to see the following Mazdas
- The Mazda 3 Sedan/hatch/speed 3 version (the sedan and hatch can be in diesel)
- The Mazda 6 sedan in diesel
- The Mazda CX-5 in diesel

The following VW's
- the Polo GTI
- the Golf diesel, Golf GTI
- Jetta GLI

From Ford -
- Fiesta ST
- Focus sedan/hatch in diesel and Focus ST
- The new Mondeo/Fusion
- Barebones Mustang v6 (the GT v8 will be 40 lakhs and also too much power for us to use on our streets responsibly)

From Toyota/Subaru
- the BR-Z/FR-S or GT-86 - perhaps ideal for India - not too much power, but enough to have fun and a supremely good chassis.

I don't want to wish for 50 lakh rupee cars - it would just be beyond me to even consider getting them used!

Sorry, my dictionary did that!
Thanks for correcting, I felt something was wrong but was in a hurry to correct.

I am a big fan of American cars. So here goes my list:

1. Ford Mustang
2. Ford F150 Raptor
3. Dodge Challenger
4. Chevrolet Corvette
5. Chevrolet Camaro SS
6. Lincoln Navigator
7. Cadillac Escalade
8. GMC Yukon

I am glad the Jeep Cherokee and the Jeep Wrangler are on their way to India very soon.
