I am not sure if Jazz will get a 175 R16. I wonder if there are tires in that config at all. Does Michelin or MRF offer that size?? From Michelin website, I pretty much feel they do not offer a 175 R16 configuration in India. Don't think MRF offers that either.

So, I feel that either Jazz will be getting only 175 R15 or a wider tire with R16. We will probably have to wait till Saturday or for better pics of VX version's tires to confirm the tire size.

Edit: Pics in IAB themselves confirm that the tires in VX is also 175/65 R15 itself.

I agree, but let us wait till we get official news from Honda on what really is the feature difference between the V and VX trims.

Am so eagerly waiting for TBHP official review now

This has been discussed before. I am not an expert on this, but the City CVT is coupled with a mini torque converter that reduces the rubber band effect of the CVT. There is no reason to think that the same gear will not be used in the Jazz since they opted for the CVT unlike the Amaze that comes with the torque converter. Therefore, the chances are that the rubber band effect is not pronounced despite the engine size. Of course, only comprehensive reviews can confirm that.

Thanks,

Pradeep

Looks like they are 15"ers. The image is from IAB and belongs to the 1.2 VX MT:

To my eyes, it looks like the 1.5 The resemblance between the City and Jazz engines is more than that of Amaze/Jazz. I may be wrong though.
IAB mentions:

The petrol engine is the 1.2-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder unit borrowed from the Brio and Amaze, while the diesel is the 1.5-liter i-DTEC also seen on other Honda cars in India.

Honda must ensure that the Jazz doesn't suffer from the quality issues that engulfed it's latest sedan due to the heavy localization of the product. Honda escaped this with the city as it commands a high snob value and prestige value with its buyers but same can't be said with the Jazz, which flopped in the previous iteration.

The diesel version is as expected - noisy. This was something I was keenly watching. Guess Honda knows that people prefer FE to refinement!

Havent the XM1 been out of production for a while now? If media cars have old rubber, god bless the end consumers!

EDIT: Still seems to be listed on the Michelin website. God knows why are they using the older model rather than the xm2.

Why can't they just do away with that cheap looking leather stitching on the gear knob??

Comment was based on the Autocar review, which did not seem very positive of the CVT. The unit is definitely from the City. As you mentioned, need to wait for other detailed reviews and also real world experiences.

Looking at some of these images of interiors I think the quality of plastics is a notch or two below Honda City. Clear signs of cost cutting to make Jazz more affordable (Provided they launch at an aggressive price).

I know these snaps can be deceiving but they dont look that great. Not comparable to Polo or i20 quality. May not be even comparable to Zest I would say.

Also things like fixed head rest for rear bench, magic seat lite (limited flexibility) in 2nd from top variant is not something I would have expected from Honda.

Rush Lane has also posted a set of photos from the Honda Jazz Media Drive. Here are some interesting ones:

And it isn't an alloy! The black paint gives it away.

But really, those USB, iPod/iPhone and the TRS jack looks like a cheap aftermarket addon! The iPod cable seems to originate from a black box. I wonder what prevented them from concealing all these behind the glovebox or the plastic trim ahead of the gear shifter and just providing the sockets on the front fascia. How hard can it be?!

The insulation from the cable seems to have come off.

I hope the production models don't have these sort of shoddiness.
