Isn't that the Crider?

If some of BHPians here have got it right, the new City will be based on 2014 Fit. And I really hope they are correct.

Edit: There you go!

With the new plant coming - Honda will be all set to return to 4K levels for City when the delivery starts in 2014.

Honda's biggest USP against Hyundai - as a car owner who has both brand cars - is service costs. My 4 year old City is has significantly cheaper service costs than my 2 year old i10. And they are cars from completely different segments.
I second that completely as my experience has been the same! Though I must add that Hyundai cars are now just as reliable as the japs.. Creature comforts Vs higher service costs - it will come down to that. Maybe Hyundai has an edge on the looks as well..

Yes indeed it is Crider and looking at the difference between the current Jazz/Fit and ANHC, I would tend to believe that Crider is closer to what a "proper" new city would be than based on Jazz. And I personally, didn't like the side profile and front of the 2014 Jazz. The rear end is amazing, but the rest is not that appetizing.

The dealers are saying that the car will be based on the upcoming Jazz so well I am expecting this highly! Now, we just have to wait till 25th November to know what exactly are we getting!

@YashD; It has alwayd been known that the Jazz and City will share the floorpan. So some similarities are a given, but remember the outgoing Jazz and City were quite different.

Just a note to all BHPians. We do this in the most innocent manner, but, the term "japs" is extremely offensive to Japanians/Japanese(?). Its like calling our friendly neighbours "pa*is". I am not a moderator or anything...but it makes a jarring reading with the offensive terms employed in the posts. All we are doing here is appreciating them .

Why should it be offensive I wonder. Did any of your Japanese friends tell you this?

Whats wrong with fancy short-names - For Ex Australians actually like being called Aussie or OZ.

Nope, I have no Japanese friends (except my Honda City). I remember having read this a few years back somewhere and it got etched in my mind.

Please check the link below:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jap.

Nothing wrong with the short names, but historically, some words have taken more wings than they should have. This is one among them.

I J.U.S.T mentioned this! I am not a purveyor of using the right words! This is one forum where I can speak my mind...Absolutely no offence to anyone.

I remember reading somewhere that the new City will be evolutionary rather then revolutionary in which case the blue car in the picture posted here seems likely.

I do hope Honda has worked on the suspension with the new City. The current City's suspension is too thrashy, it just thuds and makes a lot of noise going over bad stretches of roads.

How do folks find the brakes of the city?
My NHC brakes offer the least confidence - sure it has no ABS but I expected better.
Is the ANHC any better? It has ABS on all variants..

The only qualms that I have with my Civic is a soft suspension. Is the ANHC plagued with the same issue? If yes, then I hope Honda has taken note of the same. Creating the right setup for Indian roads can be a nightmare for any car manufacturer.

The brakes could have been better even with ABS. I feel they don't have enough bite in them to bring the car to a confident stop. Having said that, the other car I had was the Punto and it had among the best brakes I have experienced ever since I have started driving.

I am not at all confident about the braking ability of my City. Somehow I feel that I could stop the car just in time...luckily. Not the best of feelings. Not sure if this is pervasive. Planning to with the service folks during next service. In summary, Brakes could've been far better.

I am happy with braking of my City. Have been in sudden braking situations couple of times and ABS performed well.
