Hyundai will unveil the i15 today!
The i15 will become the fourth hatchback in HMIL’s product portfolio and would find itself slotted between the i10 and the i20. The i15 will become the least priced diesel powered Hyundai hatchback in Indian market and will compete with the entry level variants of Maruti Ritz, Chevrolet Beat and the Nissan Micra.
The diesel engine is likely to displace 1.1 litres and would have a power figure of around 70 PS. The petrol engine on offer would be the same 1.2 litre Kappa motor that powers the i10 and the i20.
The upcoming Hyundai BA (codename) aka i15 aka Brilliant will be unveiled to media today and sales should commence towards mid-September.

Though the i15 (code named Hyundai BA) would likely share many of the same fluidic design cues, the car in the pictures looks more like the Hyundai HB20 which is a Brazil specific model. It is a low cost equivalent of the i20 with fluidic styling and is meant to be sold only in that country (and maybe some other Latin American countries).
I'm not sure if a non-camouflaged version of the i15 has been spotted anywhere in the world as yet. I hope they do unveil the car today!

If it was to be unveiled today then wouldn't the media get invites or has Motoroids got a special invitation.:eek:
Also,AFAIK the global unveil is set to be at the Frankfurt Motor Show

I have a feeling it's the i10. I might be wrong, but considering that Rehaan said there's a media event, this might as well be true.

Hyundai’s Maruti Swift competitor to be revealed today - launch will be in September.
Hyundai India will reveal their all new diesel hatchback in Hyderabad later today.
No unveiling. Only drive I guess. Embargo till 7th August.

The current i10 will continue for another year at least. This model is supposed to slot in between i10 and i20. So I am guessing, logically, the BA should be named the i15! :)

Logically I'd expect the same (i15). But I'm also leaving room for a name like
"the i10 Brilliant"!

AFAIK, No unveiling today.
The new model will be priced and placed between i10 and i20.
The name i15 is too not confirmed. it might be given a different name altogether.
In all probability, it will be launched in September 2013.
