Nice move Ford.
The sub-4 mtr sedan is .
I always wondered why cant they make good designs for the CSs - first it was Indigo CS, then Dzire. Amaze was better, then Xcent took a large step in right direction. Now the Ka+. Good going - finally, designers are waking up

Now what about the engine? The 1.4L still continues to do the duty for the compact segment I presume? Meanwhile the new 1.5L servers for the C-segment? For the petrol I hope the Ecoboost makes its way. (Which I highly doubt). Just to keep those tick marks checked, Ford would keep the 1.2L for these segments as price rains supreme. But it would be good to have a top end Ecoboost for the enthusiast (esp for the hatch). That would also showcase their "hot" hatch section, taking on the TSI/TDI versions from VW and also similar turbo charged petrol products.

Honestly, I still prefer the looks and styling of the first gen Figo! The second gen looks strictly okay, but the new one looks weird and completely non-Figo! I hope they continue to sell the current Figo and launch this as a parallel model! I was expecting something really good from Ford for the new Figo, but it's disappointing!!

I don't think Ford will introduce Ecoboost (which is currently imported from Germany for Ecosport) in Figo unless they start manufacturing Ecoboost in India. However, Ford's performance with the existing TiVCT Sigma petrol engine is nothing to write about so setting up another engine plant to service Indian market will not cut ice with its management. More so considering that even the new Fiesta skipped on the Ecoboost version.

That is exactly the reason, I thought they should get it as a show case trim. And if it really kicks in, they may think of strategies.

The more I look at the 'Ka' the more it seems like a non-Ford car. Looks like a Hyundai or a Datsun. The interiors for sure would be similar to the current Fiesta/Ecosport. The front grill of the hatchback looks incomplete while the sedan looks impressive.

The Ford Ka hatch (next-gen Figo) has been launched in Brazil.

Here are some real-life pictures of the Ka. I must admit it has immense street presence and is a fantastic looker.

Can't wait for it's India launch next year.

Man, this makes me really sad. I love the stance and the overall looks of the current (old?) Figo, was one of the reasons I bought it. Nice and straight lines, clean outline, stack taillamps...

The new one just looks like the Fiesta hatch and has the same "round" egg-shaped look (I call it bloated look, others will argue) that all new cars seem to be getting. Please please dont stick a boot on this too and call it a "sedan"!

The hydraulic steering in the current Figo feels sharp, direct and responsive (almost comparable to the old Ikon). I am guessing that is going away in favor of an all-electric setup, and I have to say Ford's new electric setups - while better than say Toyota's or Honda's - doesn't feel quite as good as the old ones (judging by the Fiesta, Focus and Fusion I drove a couple of months back).

RIP my favorite Figo.

Wow, looks great, has an engine that'll handle city drives very well, and what an interior! This might just make ford a larger manufacturer if they introduce an interior of this type to the B1 segment. Agree with rajushank, please don't add boot on this and call it the new Ikon.

Hmm. This new Ka or upcoming Figo does not look bad but man it is nowhere as striking as what is available already.

The Grand i10 looks more modern and sharper, the upcoming i20 will be a huge leap in design and the new Jazz expected also looks modern. Amongst the Jazz, i20 and Grand i10 this Figo/Ka is already beginning to look a bit dated.

The front is the only thing that looks striking thanks to the now standard trapeziodal grill on all Fords.

The non existence of the horizontal chrome bars in the front grill (as in the Concept and the Fiesta) makes the front end look rather bland.

The headlights also can do with some better detailing. And where are the side blinkers?

Hi all
Is it only me, I don't know, but the rear of this baby Ford looks uncannily close to Hyundai i10 grande.

Agree with you all, these pics somehow do not do justice to the car, maybe the angles are just wrong? Or even the colours do not go well with them?

There are other angles where this really does look fantastic, but these pictures do not do any justice. Or, has anything changed on the production version?
