Its certainly NOT as spacious as the Safari. Its a decent vehicle, considering the price, but you will have to live with the measly (72 hp) engine and some (very) dated things like door hinges on the outside.

Guys, this thread seems thrives.....Been out of town for some time. So couldnt post. Well as you all said, choices around for a good SUV is not here for us. When i say Good SUV - i mean rugged, reliable, lesser maintenance, better costing. Iam planning to sell around the vehicle and look for something else. Do you guys know any newer models (diesel SUV or Diesel cars) coming in 2007.

well, the clutch is very hard to push. Once i changed the piston assembly located on the bottom. Now my service man says, we need to overhaul the clutch entirely. I dont know why. I can feel the clutch when applying, but its only too hard.

Iam thinking i should change the piston assembly as done before instead of overhauling the entire clutch system.

All Scorpios , right from day one had Discs in front and drums in rear.

The newer ones have beefier and better boosters/ brakes compared to earlier ones.

i've been driving the scorpio for years...non crde...and i dont understand all the sob stories about brakes ! the braking is excellent and the vehicle is a dream to drive...treat it with respect and it will reward you !! SUVs are not meant for speed or negligent driving...most ppl are carried away by the straight line speeds on the highways and have had no chance to repent for it in the curves...same goes for safari also. safari is an excellent vehicle as well...especially the new dicor...but i still think the scorpio is a more capable offroader than the safari will ever be...

Nip,
Good to know your scorpio is doing good. Which year/month you bought this car. Can you let me know what is your booster size. the ones which came earlier carried 8" booster i beleive. then once mahindra realized this, they switched to 10" booster and now the latest ones comes with Tandem assist double booster.
