Default Excise duty benefit extended till Dec '14

The Finance Minister announced status quo on excise duties for auto sector till December 2014. This will provide much needed relief to the sector dealing with poor demand, rising fuel prices and high interest rates for auto loans. Poor monsoons may still hurt demand for some segments in the industry.

The excise duty / rates for the sector were to be increased from July 1st. The FM has made an announcement a while ago.
