Here are the first pictures of the Kite5 sedan in it's production-ready form.

Instrument cluster is the same as the Tiago.

The central console sees the addition of an Automatic Climate Control unit, which will display current cabin temperature too.

Interior pics coming up very, very soon.

(A big thank you to my birdies for sharing this)

Looks bad in my opinion. The boot does not seem neatly integrated. The alloys look good though

Is it me or anyone else too that finds the car to be on stilts?

Ride height is on the higher side plus the gap between the wheels and the body is large. Looks awkward to me.

Love the alloy design. Something nice for OEM!

+1.

Where is the boot actually?

It is too small to notice when seen from the side.

Simple, it's a Notchback & not a sedan.

Because this one is a Notchback, you see a almost non-existant boot section when viewed from sides.

Remember this ?

The Hyundai Accent Viva, the shape (Boot Section) is similar as well (It being a Notchback), the only reason the boot looks slightly longer is because of the rear windscreen shape & this Viva is/was a >4m sedan.

Being a notchback still Does not take away from the bad looks. In fact the Accent Viva looks neat from the side as well😊

I am sure some Tata employee's job maybe at stake. Good scoop for sure!

Very nice design, and the alloys too look a class-apart. Tata seems to have another winner with this one. So the Hexa, Kite 5 and Xenon, if all three come as planned, that is before end of this year. Tata motors can call 2017 its "comeback year!"

To me, this looks more like a planted one. Interior and exterior have been seen during Auto Expo so there is hardly any surprise. It's the engine which is the secret currently!!

So true. Every car has a desirability quotient to it. Kite 5 isn't just an extended version of Tiago which will offer more value for money. The car looks good on its own and would surely attract eyeballs! Same with Nexon and Hexa. Glad to be witnessing this turnaround!!

Going by the last pic, the cross-section of the tyre seems a little less, it may be an illusion. Or it may be one of those rare Tata cars that are under-tyred.

Also, it appears as if there would be only 1 reverse light positioned to the left of the rear bumper.

The Kite5 will see an AMT variant added to it's ranks, too.

Not sure if it will be immediately available at launch, or join the lineup at a later date.

Just to clarify - the last shot from the rear has been taken at an angle, so the car might look awkwardly positioned.

The boot is extremely well integrated, rest assured. Much better than some of the sub-4m sedans currently in the market.

Confirming on the engine specs - the 1.05L diesel will have bumped specifications in comparison to the Tiago. (shall get a full confirmation on this AND the diesel engine output figures in a day or two)

Petrol might stay the same.

Some more info:-

- The Kite5 will get a reversing camera as well.

- A Harman-based touchscreen system, similar to the Tiago's sound output, will be on offer.

- Tata is taking quality control very seriously this time. The rejection levels have come down to 3 cars per shift, from 12 cars per shift earlier.

- Launch might be delayed, due to the high demand for the Tiago.

- The 1.3L MJD in it's 75PS avatar was also tested with the Kite5, but ultimately scrapped in favour of the 1.05L with a VGT in a higher state of tune.

That's not very encouraging. Almost everyone has common opinion of petrol engine being Achilles heel for Tiago. With a bigger car, same engine might simply not cut it.

While this may ensure really competitive pricing, I am not sure how the reviewers will take to it.

Sad, a 4 cylinder engine is much better then the 3 cylinder one. That would have made this Sedan a compelling package in the segment. In future, Tata should offer this at a slight premium similar to what Maruti has done with the S-Cross.

Is it this specific colour that is affecting the optics or the proportions of Kite 5 have changed since Autoexpo. The wheels look tiny and disproportionate compared to the body. the chrome garnish is adding a lot of bulk to the boot and making the car look even more disproportionate. Its too early and the information is too limited to form a definative opinion though.

It looks pretty neat and kind of Coupe'ish from the side profile. Love the alloy wheel design. Only the chrome embellishment in the rear is the sore part which can be handled later.

I think boot is very well integrated, due to the dark colour of car. Body lines are not very prominent due to which it looks bit awkward.
