Yes, it is hexa but with shorter overhangs to look like proper SUV rather than MUV.

Pardon my ignorance, but that last picture - isn't that a switch for adaptive suspension? The Aria does not have it, does it?

It is a miniaturized version of LR's Terrain Response system. Doesn't look like adaptive suspension, it only controls the 4WD system.

Aria only had 4x4 and 4x2 toggle switch.

Design is one of the key driving forces behind purchasing a car. With the imperative that the design of the car must grab customer attention at first look, the HEXA’s exteriors and interiors have been designed intelligently giving it an extraordinary appeal.

The front of the car bears the dual Hexagonal patterned front grill with chrome accented humanity line, where the new three-dimensional ‘T’ Logo is placed in a semi vertical position. The smoked projector headlamps beautifully complement the distinctive front grill along with tough-looking fog lamps with daylight running lamps on the exterior accentuate the car’s road presence.

The masculine stance of the vehicle is further enhanced by the new horizontal two part tail lamps with wraparound signature LED lamps, door claddings, dual-coloured wheel arches, specially designed body coloured integrated spoiler and roof rails. Adding to the sportiness of the vehicle, the company has used stylized machine-cut 19” alloy wheels and a floating roof accentuated by cladding on the D pillar.

The interiors come with contoured, luxurious leather seats with accentuated bolsters which ensure a snug fit and comfortable drive. Rich satin finish chrome accents around air vents, hi-tech infotainment system, flowing multifunction floor console with smart charger along with the elegantly contoured arm rest with utility space are crafted with utmost precision and provide for a premium feel.

The interior is accented with mood lighting, whose colours change according to the 4 drive modes or can be customized with a further 4 colours.

The drive modes combine the benefits of
electronic stability program and engine calibration, enabling the vehicle to seamlessly overcome any kind of terrain. The vehicle also features cruise control with switches integrated into the signature Tata steering wheel. The 19” tyres and long wheelbase of 2850 mm provide a planted and stable ride. They are again positioning it as a "premium" SUV ? I thought that was one reason for failure last time. If SUV, people expect a body like one.

I think they should have positioned it as a MUV and competed against the Innova by offering value.

why again this grill and head lamp style. When TATA is getting a new vehicle, could have changed these unless HEXA is based on ARIA platform and they plan to use maximum of the dyes from ARIA.

Hexa in flesh is no less than the renders we have seen over time. The black finish images released are a stunner. With all the variable dynamic suspension setups and premium interiors, the pricing might reach 20L plus. Sincerely hope Tata dont do that blunder to have this to compete with fortuner and endeavour. I hope they are going to project in the same segment as XUV and innova.

If this is anyway around 17L OTR i for sure am booking the black one 😁

Mod Note: Our Hexa Report has been taken live at this link (Tata Hexa : Official Review). Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!

Any launch date that has been discussed yet during the Auto Expo? Atleast a time frame would help me in holding onto my purchase of XUV500 in 2nd quarter. Innova Crysta has been announced and it will be launched at the end of the year, which leaves me with only 2 contenders for my purchase.

Regards,
Rohit
