Chevy has been sitting on the fence for too long. Those mild refreshes wont cut it anymore. We WANT the Essentia soonest. Also, just an exterior upgrade wont do- they need to tweak the engines for better efficiency. I am in absolute love with my Beat- the only sore point- fuel efficiency(maybe a Turbo-petrol would help)

Having said that, Essentia seems to be well designed(now we need a Beat based on that front end )

IMO only the side profile of the Essentia looks good. When viewed as a whole, it would look like the narrowest compact sedans around. The rear seat can in no way accomodate 3 adults.

BTW any update on Kite sedan launch date - this car is definitely the best looker of all compact sedans. Hope the negatives of the petrol engine, highlighted in the Zica official review, if fixed prior to launch.

So Kite 4 and 5 are Zica and Sway.

Significance behind 4 and 5, I don't know

I suppose that as bad or silly names go, this one is not one of the worst. Brezza sounds like a Brit footballer, Nexon sounds like a fabric and Tata has been downright unlucky (or didn't do their research) with the otherwise not-bad-sounding Zica.

Perhaps it doesn't matter to a lot of people. Nobody seems to mind driving a Duster aound: personally, I have to ask, Renault or Jopasu, every time.

hey ho... I'll get back to wondering which car to buy next

Renault unveils the Duster EasyR AMT.

Boasting of over 32 new styling & technical features, the facelifted Duster will also feature first-in-the-segment 6-speed EasyR AMT option, which "offers a convenient & effortless drive in busy traffic conditions".

The 2016 Duster will also have a 4x4 option as well.

Looks like the Explore edition from front:

Wow, TATA Nexon looks stunning.
They have a win win product in the kitty. They just need to market and price it correct.

I read somewhere or on TATA's site itself that there will be a 1.5 diesel on offer.
Any idea on the engine options ?

But they couldn't change the door handle type to modern grab type; no projectors/DRLs. Also, I personally prefer the old alloys to the new ones.

Should actually be the other way round as a sedan as 4 doors and a hatchback has 5 doors. In fact globally hatch versions of sedans sometimes are called the *sedan name*5.

But I guess in India sedan is more upmarket so the higher number probably.

Is it just me who sees a resemblance with the erstwhile Standard 2000? If that car was in production, the Aero might be called the Cross version of it.

The sub 4m class is full of very competitive cars with decent looks (Zest, Figo, *Kite*). It will be tougher for Chevy to get people into the showrooms, even tougher than Tata I think.
