If they have launched it, why are they are not updating their website?

I spoke to the sales guy at Wasan Motors. He said no Dicor yet, just cosmetic changes and the old TDi. Disappointing!

The new price range is 4.58 6.27.

The old prices are (ex-showroom hyderabad) -
GLE-BS III Rs. 4,11,151/-
GLS-BS III Rs. 4,43,923/-
GLX-BS III Rs. 4,73,788/-
GSX Rs. 5,65,117/-

LS-BS III Rs. 4,77,699/-
LX-BS III Rs. 5,16,608/-
SX Rs. 5,99,849/-

What are they charging the extra amount for? Most of the changes are cosmetic. Does it really justify this price revision if the engine is not dicored?

Agreed that the Indica/go series badly needs new interiors, but expecting customers to pay more for a change that is overdue is ridiculous. Unless there is an engine upgrade, this is a meaningless new version (at increased prices).

Tata has always been the value leader with the Indica / go, and doubt such a price increase will not include an engine upgrade. It falls in logically, as I heard common rail is only going to cost the customer 15 grand more.

I guess the DICOR will increase prices by more than 15K for tata. So they do a partial increase for cosmetic changes, and then do another 15K for DICOR?
Even at these prices indigo remains VFM, and at around 5L ex showroom for DICOR it will still be VFM. It will hit fiesta the hardest.

I just recieved a reply to my email from Mr.Vijay Menon(Brand Manager-Indigo & Marina( from Tata.He said that they are still developing the CRDI engine. He really couldn't confirm the launch(obviously) but I am guessing a good 6 more months. He did admit that the press was misquoted(I guess it was Hindu).
New revamped Indigo has already reached major cities.3 new colours are avaialble along with some changes in interiors.

Exclamation Upgraded Indigo Specs and Pricing

Seems Tata is updating its site rather slowly. I have found information on its specs and pricing on this page.

http://indigo.tatamotors.com/Tatamot.../Variants.aspx

There are small photos of the updated version. Its the same old engine with small cosmetic changes upfront. You have to look hard to figure them out. No photos of the rear. The website does not say New Indigo, it says facelifted/upgraded Indigo. At least they are more honest than Maruti that says "All New"

This has large size pics, in any color you want.
Not much of a change from the front. Just double chamber headlamps and newish grill.

Not too pleased with the steering wheel design. Looks like something they might have on an aircraft (centre part of the wheel) or a boat. Cant wait to see the mentioned "New pattern for console & AC fascia" as mentioned. It badly needs it.
The newish grill, doesnt seem all that new. Changes are just too subtle. (Exterior ones atleast).

my guess is that tata will increase the prices now with the cosmetic makeover and when they "dicorize" their cars, they will keep the prices the same and customers will feel that the prices are the same despite the engine change.

Are they going to sell Indigo & Indig V-series side by side. In the price information tool on their homepage, they have both the models listed.
