Discounts ? They just increased the prices of all i20 variants by ₹. 9000, make hay while the sun shines!

The good things that are coming out of this is the reduced waiting period for the i20 and more choice (confusion?) for the car buyers.

OR maybe they got to know the leaked pricing of baleno and it probably is a blunder just like S-cross, so the hike of 9k will go Un noticed

This is a very good aggressive stance of the Baleno. Always was wishing for such a "stretched A-Star"

And see the how much the passenger cabin is placed inwards from sides. This will definitely improve the ride comfort.

The autocar video review is out.

Seems like the petrol 1.2L is really fun on this light weight vehicle, cannot wait for a test drive

Lol I just cant have enough of these reviews. While the review posted in the last page says diesel is a hoot to drive, autocar says its the Petrol which is more fun.

I guess only a team bhp review will give the real picture.

Maruti had a great chance to stop the monopoly of i20 but they seem to have fluffed up their chance with the mediocre engine choice

When people were expecting 1.6MJD and 1.4K series, Maruti decided to plonk the 1.3 MJD and that too the 75 PS variant. I am struggling to see what's premium about this car. Exterior looks okay. Interior is good. But is this premium? The answer is BIG NO.

Come on buddy. Looks are always subjective is it not?

I do agree with you on the engines, exteriors and interiors too to an extent. Interiors dont look great to me. I did not like the central console. From the pics, interior quality looks ok but a notch lower than S cross (Which itself is not too great IMO).

Best part of the exterior design I believe is the silhouette of the car. Looks classy.

I guess we can safely say that 'Enthusiast' in team-bhp terms means 'Not what the common man buys/wants'

Some really interesting reasonings coming up to downplay the car even before one has seen it in flesh nor driven it.

Either way, the competition is Jazz and i20. Baleno will surely give sleepless nights to those H's if priced in the same bracket. Jazz already lagging behind i20 and i20 not having the Auto option, all points to Baleno surging forward shortly.

All eyes on the launch and pricing.

I'm not sure how this car will be any different to drive compared to Swift, considering they share both petrol and diesel engines (in most probably the same state of tune).

Yeah, I know there may be some differences in suspension, gear ratios, steering feel, build quality or weight, but IMHO real-world differences w.r.t FTD factor will be minimal to none.

I think the good thing which Maruti have done in my opinion when it comes to the interiors is that Ciaz, Baleno and S-Cross all have their own individual interior design unlike the other manufacturers. Example - Jazz and City have similar interior design. In case of MSIL, each car retains its individuality.

True. Looks are objective. If we go by the definition of 'stunning'

adjective - extremely impressive or attractive.

synonyms - remarkable, extraordinary, staggering, incredible, impressive, outstanding, amazing, astonishing, marvellous, phenomenal, splendid, imposing, breathtaking, thrilling;

Tell me - how many of these words would be applicable to 'Baleno'?

Enough has been said and discussed about its safety, performance, looks etc etc.No one has said till now that who is going to go ahead with the pre booking going on.

I'll share my experience as per my word with Nexa on the day booking started:I call up the guy whom i had met earlier during one of Scross promotions in a mall and had come for giving me a test drive.I call him up and start inquiring about Baleno. Booking amount confirmed by him was 25,000.I went ahead and confirmed the model, colour and other details which he was only allowed to read from the paper and when it came to price he started becoming defensive. After pushing him he said in a typical marketing fast pace tone that top variant would come around 10 Lakh then the variant i was interested in that was Delta would cost around 8-9 Lakh. He also said that Petrol will be 82BHP and Diesel 74 BHP which we all know. Now when i start asking him about cancellation of booking if things dont work out, he again started becoming defensive. He said that Saar we had done the same thing for Scross too and we haven't yet received any requests for cancellations..I then try to push him for cancellation procedure but still he was hesitant and finally in gulp voice he said "Main pura amount refund karva dunga na saar" but i still had doubts in the way he said.
So guys i have shared my experience and feel that I should go for it and am planning to book Premium Urban Blue Delta variant but still have doubts about their cancellation policy and delivery dates.

Guys need your suggestion on it and also people who are planning to go ahead with the booking please do share over here for fellow Bhpians to know.

I will take a call on 26th itself I am in no rush, this is no Creta or a segment shaker, enough inventory is going to be available. Myou eyes are set on CVT and the top money I am ready to pay is 6.75 to 7 lacs ex showroom bangalore, not a rupee more.

Will decide and book after test drive, don't want to get in hassles of running around for a refund. As i had posted earlier I find this entire process of pre booking before disclosing price extremely unethical on manufacturer's part.
