The Kwid it is. Reason? Very Simple.

Any new car launch is a head turner for us, bhpians. But when a car is a head turner for my entire family and friends, I have to vote for it.

Voted for Kwid. It is the car of the year just like The Godfather was the Movie of the Year in 1972.

Default Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2015

I vote for the Kwid. While the Creta is very appealing and successful, it was the Kwid that surprised me with its road presence and for the amount it gave for its price. Found the performance quite reasonable , the passenger space and legroom sufficient and the boot space exceptional. Three issues however were the lack of the second airbag, a grab handle for the front passenger and the awkward single wiper which touches the bonnet when raised. However , it was all in all a total surprise.

IMO, the vote result and comments for the voting threads have to be kept secret until the end of the poll. There is clearly a motive here to ride with the wind.

I vote for Baleno. Got the petrol delta variant last week after deciding on this over jazz. I am loving it.

Mr sheel I agree that we can't ridicule a sincere effort from Renault but still kwid in terms of safety and build quality is quiet inferior only 3 nuts are provided in wheel rims and airbags are optional don't we Indians deserve better car in ICOTY and well this award is not given segment wise or costwise so the ICOTY has to be honestly the one at least one which cares for peoples safety first. FORD ASPIRE IS THE BEST. LOVE YOU FORD

My vote is for Renault Kwid. Game-changing styling, at a cursory glance it looks like a mini SUV, decent engine with good fuel economy. Kwid is has the potential to upset the sales of its competition. Simple.

I think true ratings for ICOTY should be in the following mentioned order if one takes into consideration all aspects of cars
Ford aspire>Creta>kwid>Baleno>jazz

I voted for Renault Kwid because it has raised expectations of the entry level and also influenced expectations at a segment or two higher. A car better suited to the Indian roads and Indian buyers. Higher ground clearance, larger boot space, more cubby storages are welcome features. There is room for more desirable features at a higher variant with some added cost.

I think that mods need to consider this for next time.
I voted for the 'mini duster' because I knew that Figo wouldn't be close to wining but now I regret my decision. Should've voted for a that I actually liked. I'm sure many more people would've voted for the two popular choices, ie Creta and Kwid because the cars they liked are nowhere close.

It's a personal vote. I am sure none of us voted for the popular choice model or the model that was winning the race ( hopefully). You should always vote for what you feel is the best choice. So be it if that model gets only your vote. I strongly hope that this is not how we will eventually vote our Team BHP Coty. Any way there is always a next time.
