Default Arvind Mathew to resign as CEO of Mahindra Reva

Arvind Mathew, the Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Reva will reportedly resign from his position. Mathew had taken over as CEO from Reva's founder, Chetan Maini, on May 1, 2015.

A Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Arvind Mathew has over two decades of experience with the Ford Motor Company. He served as the Managing Director of Ford India, before shifting to Tata Advanced Materials as a CEO, and subsequently coming to Mahindra Reva in 2015.

Mathew is expected to be replaced by Mahesh Babu, who is serving as the company’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) since January 2015. Babu has prior experience with the Mahindra Group, and had played a role in the development of the Mahindra XUV 5OO.

Arvind Mathew is likely to take some other role within the Mahindra Group after being relieved from his position at Mahindra Reva.
