| yeah this doesnt look like the same car at all..the C Pillar doesnt seem to gel with the overall shape of the car... Me thinks this is a photoshop job or an older picture...or I'm still a little disoriented from last nights meet. |

| Senior - BHPian | I just feel like the ripping the hands of the guy who designed those side mirrors...looks like eyes sticking out as in insects . The rear pillar is so ...Renault like...It doesnt look that bad....atleast the rear bumber looks okay...not bad...but not great like the one posted earlier.....The looks may not be upto everyone's liking.....but I dont believe in that anymore...coz people said the same when Qualis came out and even NHC ......both remained one of the best sellers in their respective segement.

| Super-Admin | The first design is awesome, and knowing Fiat cars...will ride like that too. The second is weird and unbalanced. Its a relief to see new cars with clean understated lines. I am not a fan of modern quirky designs at all. Within the NHC / Verna / Fiesta brigade, I like the Fiestas looks the best.

| The official pic from Fiat: ![]() Fiat Linea - World Premiere Fiat Linea is an all-new segment C three-box saloon which débuts at the Istanbul Motor Show taking place from 2 to 12 November. Produced in collaboration with Tofas, the Turkish joint venture between Fiat Auto and Koç Holding quoted on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, the Fiat Linea will be first manufactured in the joint venture’s Bursa plant in Turkey (at an annual production of 60,000 units) and marketed in a number of European and non-European countries starting in the second half of 2007. The vehicle will later be produced in other countries by FIAT. Designed by the Fiat Style Centre, the new Fiat Linea presents an elegant, dynamic external line. The same stylistic attention has been paid to the interior, the lines of which are harmonious and well balanced with the exterior to create a bright and friendly environment capable of guaranteeing extraordinary interior roominess and superior comfort in terms of ergonomics and space available to the driver and passengers. This impression is confirmed by the car’s generous dimensions which set it at the very top of its segment: 4.56 metres long, 1.73 m wide, 1.5 m tall and with a wheelbase of 2.6 m, in addition to having a luggage compartment boasting an impressive 500 litres. An elegantly functional car, with a strong Italian imprint, the Fiat Linea will be marketed in different equipment levels and equipped with features more usually found in higher segment vehicles as demonstrated by a number of sophisticated infotelematic devices which improve the comfort and quality of time spent on board. The Fiat Linea’s generous equipment is dedicated to the protection of driver and passengers and the customer can choose from a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines that combine excellent performance, low fuel consumption and absolute respect for the environment, coupled to both manual and automatic transmissions. And in order to guarantee the best price/content ratio, the various combinations of Fiat Linea equipment levels available are all characterised by high value for money. | Lurker - that one is not an original pic/nor a revised version. It's a modified image, crossed over another car - can see it from the curving tail lamps, c-pillar, unbalanced boot and the image - foreground juxtaposed over background. The ones by merve_extreme and rahul_intlad are the original.

| The first design looks awesome. I find most hatch derieved sedans pretty ugly and had my doubts about the looks of the new punto based sedan but boy, fiat have done a wonderful job with the car! I LOVE IT! To me the boot and the tail lights look a bit like the Alfa 156 but will have to see the boot properly to be sure. If it does look like the Alfa then it's a bloody good thing!

| Senior - BHPian | If its really going to be priced in the 8 lakh region, then the Fiestas & vernas better make hay while the sun shines. ![]()

| BHPian | The looks of the linea are defintely germanic, especially from the side on angle. Wheel arches are mondeo-like. But the rear is typical Italian, almost alfa-like. This ones a looker! If priced right, it could become the car to own/drive, especially with a 1.9 JTD doing service in the engine bay. A decent petrol could also steal potential Corolla/Civic customers. All this, IF Fiat and Tata get it right, in all areas.

| Senior - BHPian | I remember reading somewhere that FIAT was going to launch a new saloon in India to compete with the likes of the Corolla, codename J200/2000 (or something similar). This could be it but unless it is priced right, no one would buy it. 8L would be perfect for this car. It all depends on the pricintg of the Grande Punto Hatch in India. Add 50K - 1L and you'd get the approximate pricing of this car. Cheers
