Mahindra does have a 1.99L mHawk engine. It was introduced in the NCR region to escape the ban of sale of diesel engines above 2000cc.

MotorOctane's sources report that the longer version of the TUV300 will be called the TUV300 Plus.

Quote:
The name TUV500 won’t be used, rather it shall be called as TUV300Plus. At the same time, there are a lot of features that will be on offer too. This is what the Plus is all about. The moniker TUV500 might not come in.

Agree; but even with fully loaded bus, the effect is quite disturbing at the rear. I have had many such experiences while riding BEST buses.
So in this case, we can deduce that M&M will add more weight in front but then again, I have driven TUV (not my own) without spare mounted at back and didn't find much difference.
Near my residence there are four speed bumps with 1.5 Kms. Two are rather large which usually scrape underside of most loaded cars and other two are built by M&M themselves to facilitate entry into their factory gates (Kandivali-E). So I get to experience them on day-to-day basis.

Big thanks to Hardit Marwah for sharing this. It is indeed the 'TUV300 Plus'.

I was going through the trademark search this morning and saw that Mahindra has applied for a new trademark 'TUV300 Plus'. This can possibly be the name being given to the longer version of TUV300. A picture of the record has been attached in the email.

'TUV 300 PLUS' sounds pretty downmarket if you ask me. More suitable for a tractor /moped / pickup.

They should have called it the TUV 400. Conveys the correct message - Bigger than the (TUV) 300, yet smaller than the (XUV) 500.

Not an expert, but does the manner of placement of the dummies, in the last row, mean that the 300+ will come with side facing seats?

Frankly to me it looks as ugly as ugly can be. With the TUV 300 I thought a full sized version may look more proportionate and good. But Mahindra has managed to prove me wrong.

On the other hand, have they not bought the design firm Pininfarina?

On the other hand, you are quite right, vibbs! I'm very much afraid you'd be in a minority, though! At the time of the TUV300 launch (despite the detractors before the actual launch) the general consensus veered round to cautious approval, with the design even being compared to several earlier icons (including the Toyota FJ cruiser!) if I remember.

Oh the so general consensus. Let it be, but I have found it more fruitful to be speaking my mind even if I am in a minority!
Not trying to be a detractor here just saying what I feel. Too boxy, too crude (from the camoflauged look) and if the name is TUV 300 plus, then too crude a name as well.

I like TUV's boxy looks and straight lines honestly. I always thought TUV 300 looks like a wrestler with good upper body and short legs. I even said in TUV's thread that a flown blown TUV will look so much more better than the 4m version.
I think it will look good. Maybe it doesn't look any good camouflaged, but ones those lines and creases become visible, it's character becomes more prominent.

Can be a win, if pitched properly. As the market for Tavera is already down.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus to replace Xylo.

The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is the long wheelbase version of the TUV300; to come with a 1.99-litre diesel engine.

Quote:
The TUV300 Plus is based on an all-new platform and is expected to go toe-to-toe with the Maruti Ertiga by offering SUV-esque styling with the practicality of an MPV with a forward-facing third row of seats.
