Default EEKS!! The New Fiesta Sport....Limited Edition.

Hi folks,
I searched the fourm but theres no mention at all of the new limited edition Ford Fiesta Sport yet!! thats a bit of a shock considering i saw its ad last month!! ....shockingly even the ford india website doesnt feature it!!!

Its a limited edition car and only 500 such will be made. 2 color choices - black and silver

Looks sleek in its racy stripe down the middle of the car from the bonnet through the roof and boot a la dodge viper

The idiots at Ford put a tasteless stripe, add an MP3 player & call the resultant mess a 'Sport', & expect the so-called stupid Indian public to go ga-ga over it.

Ford has more 'limited editions' than their darned mainstream cars!
Methinks the boys in their marketing division should quit smoking crack & go get an MBA/field experience or something.

Close to 120 for the Escort that was sold in the UK, if I remember right. Even in India, Freedom, Anniversary, Orion I can recall easily, and I'm sure there are more.

The fiesta sport should have had the mondeo engine then it would have qualified for the sport tag ,but how do a few stripes make that thing sportier than the other 1.6 fiesta's.
The term sports model is being misused,if this were USA I would have sued ford.

Rahul to add to that, the fiesta sport i believe is also sold with the 1.4EXi petrol engine.
This is in no way sporty. Ford have lost it. looks like an attempt to boost sales cause of competition from the verna.

Fiesta Sport comes in 1.6 ZXI too. but well, no other change than the strips and alloy wheels than the regular versions. total BS!!

I don't think it has alloy wheels.
The ads clearly show wheelcaps on the 1.4.
Cheers

This is limited alright - wrt Ford's thinking.

Who do they take us for? Fools? Putting two stripes does not make a Puny a Mustang.

P.S. All puns totally intentional.

As per ACI, October issue, Fiesta sells around 1000 cars per month (even in September). To imagine even quarter of those cars will be sports editioned is saying that those many of new car buyers are stupid and blind both at the same time

Aye laddie, more often than not, that's the great Indian car buying public for you.

Although for their sake, I hope they avoid the new pseudo 'sports edition' in droves, & make a flop out of this & other such sports cars!
