I find paying that much silly.
I've always requested for a number that doesnt total 8, had to bribe with 100 bucks for the Road king.
For the 118NE & KINE payed 200 bucks for choosing a number of my choice.
For the Activa/Ikon payed 500/1000 bucks for a chosen number.
I wouldn't pay any more than 2000 bucks. i'd rather spend it on the car, mebbe a tank full or two.

Hmmm, I agree with you about not paying for the numbers. Are you sure you are not going to pay more that 2000 bucks for a number, I bet you would have said the same thing, that you wouldnt have paid more than 500 bucks for a number after buying the NE118. My deduction was based on the trend noticed in your post.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next time you wanted to limit yourself to 5000 bucks.

During 1990 & 1995 & 1997 when we got the kine, rking & 118NE respectively, it was more of bribing the clerical staff at the RTO.
With the activa & Ikon we had to pay the prescribed fee through a DD.
The for booking a number far ahead in the series it was 5000 bucks, if we wanted to book one in the day or next days series it is approx 2000 bucks.
I payed for choosing a number from the current available series.
If next time the prices increase I'm gonna request for any that doesn't total 8 and be happy with it, it good to have a variety!

the number 1313 may cost you 2500 - 5000
3333 will cost you more. you need to book it at 2500 and wait if anyone else is willing to take the same number.

I dont think 1313 will be that cheap. I paid 16k for 525 (MH regn) ... The bribe is as much as the official fee. So whatever you are charged on the receipt , be ready to shell out as much under the table.
3333 is going to be quite expensive.

it MAY cost. for the number 288, it costed us 10K+ for two cars and just 2500 for another one.

Default How long can u wait without a regn. no ?

Guys,

One observation about AP cars is that many of them ply on the roads without a permanent registration number / board. Even for more than 6 months at a time...

I was of the impression that cars can ply on temp regn for a week max after which they should be properly registered.

Is the rule in AP different ? Someone mentioned you can book a particular number and wait. For how long ? What is the official rule in AP?

cheers!

I know someone who paid 1 lac for this no - UP-- AK 47

All these numbers cost a lot, I am sure 3333 will cost 5 - 10k at least. 1313 would be cheaper.

A few years back I got 4444 free on my Santro !!

hey Student,

I know an agent who can get these no.s done for u.

See, just paying the official fee is not enough for getting these no's.

1313 will cost u min. of 5k as official fees, and 3333 will cost u around 10k to 20k as official fees.

Other than that, what happens is multiple ppl opt for these nos. coz they are fancy! So then it goes into auction, and then prices like 1lk are also paid!

So to escape that, and sneak the no. past the auction, u need a good broker, who can manipulate things inside to allot the no. before even it is to come out in the market. its like...they give out only the next 1000 nos from the current running.

will try to find his no. and give u soon.
