Its the brand pull that Toyota wants to present here. I am not sure if potential customers would like to opt for this trim just because of the new badge that it carries.

It does not has that "X" factor which one looks for while spending INR 3.5 million (on road). Some plastics here and there will not qualify it as "sports trim". The only good looking additions are Alloys and it ends there !

Looks like there is no 4WD option in the TRD Sportivo. It's only 2WD. The pic on the site is wrong but there is a standard disclaimer pictures are for representation only and all features may not be present.

Lack of 4WD could be that due to -

1. 4X2 AT is the most bought variant of Fortuner, saying contributing to 2/3rd of sales.
2. TRD kits might hamper/limit 4X4 capabilities as they might reduce the GC and reduce the approach and departure angels as well.

Clam shell design around front fog lamps looks bad in my opinion. It is going to be tough maintaining all those black plastics on the exterior.

The TRD edition is priced at 29,76,500 for the Pearl White shade.

Regular 42 AT is 29,83,400. Pearl White is around 9,500 more.

So actually the TRD Sportivo is cheaper than the regular 42 AT?

correct, but why will they do like this? Are there any missing features or is it some mistake?
