I hear the best deals are going on the SX4 & the other cars in the Maruti stable. As also the Ford guys are trying hard to rid of their stocks @ reasonable discounts

Cheers

Can you please elaborate on this.

My colleague needs a new car....

He went to Hyundai Showroom today in Pune and was quoted 2.99 on road on GL (but without A/C and Power Steering).

Can he get A/C and PS fitted aftermarket and what will it cost. Will such aftermarket fit void the warranty ???

OT: Hyundai had some discounts last month, while Ford is offering discounts this month. But invoicing needs to be completed by Sept 30.

I guess the a/c can be retrofitted. Not sure about the Power Steering though.

Yes these aftermarket fitments usually void the warranty ( Not always though but most of the times)

I had started a similar thread quite sometime back. Perhaps we should merge the two threads and make it a sticky so everyone is aware of discounts from time to time.

Warranty apart, A/c factory fitted is always recommended. PS may not be required in a Santro, I had one that did not have PS and never really felt the need for it.

Insurance on the Fiat Palio Multijet @ Re 1. Is it the Shradh effect or is the Vista making its presence felt.
SX4 : Exchange loyalty bonus of Rs 30,000 + Finance payout + 12.53 % interest rate ( I think that there will be a 10-12 K corp discount as well)

Santro Xing: Gold Coin+ Free Insurance+ Exch Disc Rs 15,000+ Corp Disc Rs 4000

Hyundai i10 : Gold coin worth Rs 10,000+ Exchange Discount Rs : 15000 + 2000 Corp Disc.

Verna: Gold Coin+ Mp3 player + Rs 10000 Exch Disc+ 10000 Loyalty Disc + 7000 Corp Disc

Additional Rs 5000 Exchange Disc on Hyundai cars.

Question Discounts on Hyundai i20

Hyundai i20 was launched in December 2008 and ever since Hyundai has been holding tight on to it's "strictly no discounts on i20" policy for 11 whole months nowConsidering that the car would complete 1 year in the next month can discounts be expected anytime soon? Though I highly doubt it considering the demand i20 has now.

I might be booking an i20 soon, somewhere around in the month of Dec or Jan

Though there is lot of scope to reduce pricing of i20 on Hyundai part(atleast production cost wise), but then that will eat up the market of i10 (Asta) if done.
Prospective i10 Asta buyers will definitely go for i20 Magna/Asta if there is price reduction (currently we dont even get Airbags in i20 Magna at almost same price as i10 Asta).
So I am too not very hopeful of the same happening.
Discount is only there in Getz as Hyundai is looking to clear its stock.
