Its mandatory to register the car in UP and if you dont then you 've to pay the sales tax when you register the car in thane or for that matter any other state . for eg . if i purchase a skoda rider and register it in new delhi than i 'll 've to pay the registeration charges + sales tax . so it wont do any good to me ...
if the car is not regd. in UP & it leaves the state, is it necessary to pay S.T in another state when the car was not sold in that state ? or you mean regn plus road tax ?

The discounts of....

WagonR : 20,500 + 10K Exchange Bonus
Swift : 20,000 + 10K Exchange Bonus

See the WagonR & Estilo effect........
Santro : 40,000 [Free MP3 + Insurance + Keyless entry + Corporate Bonus + Exchange Bonus] (***conditions apply)

But I really doubt the credibility of Exchange Bonus since the gullible practice of the dealers is to reduce the amount given as Exchange Bonus from the original resale value of the old vehicle and return it back to you in the form of Exchange Bonus !!!

Yup thats correct . If you get the car registered outside UP ,u 've to pay the Sales tax along with the registration charges and road tax(a car dealer later confirmed this)

P.s. Buddy its not as easy as it seems ,dont forget they are ****** politicians ...

The year end discounts are offered on cars manufactured in 2006 and which the dealer already have in stock.

So, if you go in for a 2006 car you will be getting these discounts, even if you register it in 2007.

You may want to get a 2006 manufactured car and register it in 2007. But this info will appear on your registration certificate and may affect the resale value.

So they're offering 1.5L off straightaway, I think more can also be baragained from them.

The car has never been sold & the buyer will be the first owner. If anybody is interested PM me & I'll give you the contact person's name & number.
that is no big deal really. A friend had bought a september 2005 manafactured corolla in feb 2006 for a 1.25 L discount. This vehicle is almost two years old now. And it might just be that a low run accord of 2005 would be better than a car that has not moved for so long.

Also the new stock will not be available till the jan end to feb 1st week.
