Enquired with National Garage, Mumbai for UVA. They said that there will be waiting period of six weeks due to great demand! If demand is so great how come UVAs are not seen on the road?

As someone said GM is not able to make as many units as there is a sudden rush for the U-VA. I guess BS Motoring thing is doing the trick for GM and so are the full page ads. The other possibility is the dealers do not have much margin on the UVA and try to avoid the customers by saying that there is a 6 weeks waiting period (assuming that the customer will not wait).

I hope that whatever i said above about the dealerships is incorrect. But you never know!

Agree with all the members. Not seen the a UVA on the road. I think BS motoring people should have waited for some more time before taking UVA into COTY selection.

Saw a black UVA in Chennai - The first and only UVA that I've seen. I should say that it does look very good.

Just thought I would put in a last post:

Looks like GM is doing a "great" job with the Aveo marketing. First it was the BSMotoring award...and yesterday I saw the review on the Car and Bike show on NDTV. The idiotic host starts with saying that they will review it again since there is so much "demand" for the UVA. Then he calls the engine "powerful enough, agile and just right". Sure!!

The interiors are a drab sea of grey. So he covers up saying "Sure, the sedan version has beige. But GM wanted the Aveo to be SPORTY (Yup, you read that right) and therefore they have given it an all grey look.

The rest of the drive he spent on admiring the cup holders, a clock display and a "unique first for India" headlight design.
