Nice pics Statos

The petrol is going to be an 16valve TwinCam (probably 100HP)
The Dicor is the 1.4 litre block (probably 90HP)

the 1.4 Dicor has a very cramped engine bay as per Tata Motors service guys....

Doesnt the front end look Camryish. When i saw the pics first without reading it was for Indigo.... for a sec I thought it was Camry that I was seeing. Nice design nonetheless. Rear still looks bulbous and bland.

First and foremost, a big thank you to Stratos.

Man, what a facelift!! The rear end could have been better though.

Now the biggest clincher will be the pricing. If this thing comes within the Rs. 6.5 lakh(atleast for a mid-level equipment variant) bracket and manages to stay niggle free, Tata has a winner in its hands. Surely.

Will give the Aveo/Fiesta a run for its money.

Slightly off-topic but will the new headlamps be a direct fit in the old Indica/Indigo?? I really love them.

I suppose yes because, the internal assembly has a different design but the overall shape is the nearly the same!

Just saw the new Indigo Dicor XL Grand in the Tata godown.

Snapshot of the engine. (sorry for the poor picture quality)

The Common Rail unit as expected is from Delphi.

The exteriors as well as interiors has underone a good amount of cosmetic changes and the rear legroom is much more than some of the D-Segment cars...I guess this DICOR Indigo is the LWB version.

Also saw a petrol variant of the same with 16V TwinCam badging at the rear

Expected launch in Hyderabad is 17th January as per the sales guy...He also tried bluffing that the engine is a 3.0L DICOR unit....

I guess there is a also Bluetooth Car Handsfree integrated with the OEM stereo. The unit mounted near the fog light/rear window de-mister switches was from Nokia, I'm hazarding a guess that it is a Bluetooth unit.

Specs for Dicor (70 bhp, 140 nm) is the same as that of the old 'TDi' (Turbo Intercooler) version - my guess is that the site hasnt been updated comprehensively.

Whatever it is, I'm sure the PRICE will spell VALUE true to Tata tradition. More power and more space in a car that had adequate power and a lot of space already. Bluetooth Car Handsfree? I heard stuff like aircraft-style seatback tables and headphone sockets for rear passengers sometime back - have these made it to production?
