Heard that its a cool car to be ridden in the city and MUL promised a great average also. But i think that its much of a lifestyle vehicle than much of a utility. dunno what faith has kept in store for the SX4. Better be for good. anyways great vehicle to look at.

Considering the SRV has not set sales charts on fire would maruti attempt the same, doubt so.Anyways this is not an suv by any means[and is more in the Ford fusion category].

IMO, its looks much more SUV like than the fusion, which was just a big hatch...

As I own this car, I will say this is surely taller in terms of driver view when comparing with any sedans. At the same the front nose design is more like a sedan with 16inch rubbers thrown in. Iam really trying to categorise or compare this thing with something...but in vain...

Maruti is also planning to reintroduce the Gypsy with some minor changes over the next few months.

According to a dealership in Chennai, Maruti's next assault will be with this SX4 platform, not a wagon, but a sedan. This will replace Baleno I hope. I found out this when I called them to check about Swift Dsl OTR prices.

Guys this is what I saw in indiacar.net.

Maruti Udyog Ltd will be launching its new sports utility vehicle (SUV) with a 2L-engine capacity in early June, and follow it with a sedan in the A3 segment, according to Mr Shuji Oishi, Director, Marketing and Sales.

This cant be Jimny or the SX4, a 2.0 l SUV, what can this be ?

Adios

Chances are more for a SX4 (Fiat Sedici) with a 4WD 1.9l Dsl Multijet. Because it so natural and both SX4 sedan are of same platform. They have SUV style SX4 launched in Europe/US already and selling well. This is the car that can really compete with homegrown monsters like safari and scorpio where Maruti doesn't have anything at all virtually.

Sounds Just Perfect recipe to me!

This thread is about the SX4 SUV(if it can be called one) that was co-developed by Suzuki and FIAT. The version made by FIAT is sold as Sedici. The diesel versions come fitted with JTD 1.9 but the Indian version will probably have the more advanced JTD 2.0.

Moderators: To avoid confusion, can the title of this thread be altered a bit by adding SUV after SX4?

Cheers!
