From a lot of reviews that I read about the FQ-400, it seems that this version has tremendous turbo lag. The best option of the whole lot is the FQ-360

Its been a long time coming.Hope its pegged in the Altis-Civic territory! At a shade under 13 Lakhs. It definitely stands a chance to turn around Mitsubishi India.

The car is not expected before mid next year, as still there are no concrete plans from HM.

Didn't know there was an option B - I just know of the 150+ BHP 2L Mivec engine. Hope they don't detune this...

When, HM, when???

Hmm, just checked up Mitsubishi's UK website. There they don't even have the 2L Mivec as an engine option. I see a 1.5L Mivec (107 BHP) and a 1.8L Mivec (141 BHP).

Mitsubishi-Motors/Lancer - Specifications

So I guess there are other options that they can spring on us. A detuned 1.5L again? Doubt they would do that, given that would be competing against the likes of Civic and Corolla. Slightly detuned 1.8L maybe? Would still be 130+ BHP, which is acceptable, if not great.

A.S.S is still a question that looms large in my mind. How the Montero and Outlander owners can take their cars to the dump that they call a workshop (in Kolkata anyway) I dunno. Mitsubishi should do some serious soul searching about this before they sell any more new models in India.

The Pace at which HM is going, I think the time at which we will get this Lancer, Europe will be ready for a facelift or even next generation of the same.

Absolutely spot on mate. They have the product which will sell well in India but cannot understand why they are reluctant.

HM is doing the same mistake which Yamaha did in the last decade. By delaying bringing good bikes into India Yamaha gave away the mantle to the likes of Bajaj, Honda etc.
