Well, it's finally here, a year and a month and a coupla days after we saw it! Congrats to the Fiat boys, though I must say the old one looked better.

Wow, the suspension sure looks raised. But I wonder why..the Palio never really had GC issues. Seems like they put the springs from the Adventure.

Hopefully the common man likes it. So far whatever the enthusiast community liked has been voted down by the mass buyers.

Well, the OHC and some Marutis would be against your theory. But I think Fiat has done too much damage to their name already. I cannot think of a new buyer who would prefer one of these over a Swift. I cannot think of a reason to recommend one over a Swift.

Arre Mpowerji, my apologies for the misunderstanding. Though I must confess, I am an enthusiast, and I don't see myself buying/wanting to buy a Palio. Not a new one, atleast.

The more I look at it, the tougher the ask seems for the Palio.

Fiat is suppposed to launch the Grande Punto Multijet 1.3 in India sometime soon. It has been in Europe for close to a year now. Why work (and invest) on an old model, when you already have an exciting new one ready for release in your own stables?

I think so too. The car looks too raised. Maybe it will look better in the skin.

I don't understand this because my Friend's swift gives just 9-10 kmpl in Bangalore. and I have seen people quoting 11kmpl in city and 16kmpl for highways for their palios/petra.

Also notice that the new keys have a Red colour plastic. Do they have the new Fiat logo on it?

Great stuff. Karl. First hand pictures of the factory and assembly line. I really hope this car revives Fiats fortunes. For the great cars they make they sure dont deserve to be in the dumps

Of all the ....

Dude, first of all you are comparing a 100 bhp petrol to a Multijet Diesel. And then, falling prey to general misconceptions. Did not expect this. I agree with the 'Not most-wanted choice of the Indian customer' bit, however, I cannot stomach the thirsty bit at all.

And yeah this was an awesome set of pics. Karlos you lucky Deville.
