Depends on the car actually.
Fiesta
does the most running around. From Cuffe Parade to Juhu. Spend the lowest on that though.
Rs 2500/month

The Merc too is a diesel (E270) and we spend around 2.5 - 3K on her every month too.
All the petrol cars on the other hand are 5K + even though they have limited useage.

I looked at the bill and noticed that if we shift to diesel, we'll save 10K each monthand that is a lot. Enough to buy another car on loan.
Damn!

Petra, about 800 KMs+ @ 11.5 KMPL or so falls in to 70+ litres @ 51 Rs/ Litre. Fall on the average side. May be more like 1000 KM/ month including long trips, that turns out to be like 1000/12.5 KMPL = 80 Litres, in the range of 4000+ Rs.

Well when one is running a CR of over 12 , cant retard his ignition timing and hence has to get the FPR to pump in twice as much fuel as you would normally just to prevent knocking apart from using 97Oct with boosters that is what it returns .. Plus the fact that the sheer acceleration makes it a point that you have a heavy foot .. And when you have to go to a drag in bombay , then another track day in chennai apart from fooling around in town at midnight im not surprised ..

Robin, excellent idea!

Thanks Ishan, Scooby05, Triggercool & Mclaren1885 - else I was gonna be the odd one out here .........both my cars do approx 100-110 kms each daily, taking an average of 22 days of such running in a month, I end up at around 18,000 in a month! Slightly less during May-June when the kid's school is closed.

SB, make up your mind , which of the two posts is correct?
