The Scout seems to be a promising SUV but expect Skoda to price it like crazy.

Scout should be launched along with Fabia I guess. Or atleast a little before that. If Skoda is trying to bring down the price of Laura then Scout too should come down.

WOW - I am amazed at the enthusiam towards a Skoda despite all the A*S*S (read sky-high maintenance costs)

I wonder if most folks seem to be just giving their 2 cents and dont necessarily want to part with 7 Lakhs or so to buy it

Kewl, I wonder how skoda would price the car. There are rumours that the car will be launched with 1.9 Tdi and 1.4 Tdi powerplants. If Octavia is sold at 12.5 L OTR in Bangalore then Fabia will be priced atleast 8 to 9 L OTR. Wonder how many takers will be there at that price.

Now that'd be a sureshot dampner if they do decide to price the car in the 8-9L segment. Wonder who'd wanna pay that much for a mid-segment hatchback.

I mean surely people wouldnt mind paying big money for hatch backs here, however this is no Alpha Romeo we're talking about here. I hope they dont vary too much outside the Swift segment.

Personally I feel that Scoda is like Tata here in terms of over all design....Most of their models, I have seen, have the same kind design more or less :-)), just minor changes here and there and thats it.
If you look at Octavia, Lauren, Fabia, Scout, each one has almost same front look.

On a recent drive to Mysore, I spotted 2 Fabia's being tested. Got a pic of one too. Will post it here soon.

Spotted the Fabia 3 weeks back on Mysore Road with all badging taped. It was a pale bluish color driven sedately by a semi-elderly gent who had no intention of stealth. It got "cloaked" by 2 large trucks before I could take a snap. It was heading away from Bangalore towards Kengeri/Mysore.

Real ugly looker - it'll give the Estilo some complex.

Fabia, Have you seen the european fabia.. it looks so different from the indian fabia... We should have the Fabia RS, and the european look... This car looks tall from the back.

Hey any idea when the Honda Civic Type R or the Honda Civic SI will come to india.. also the Skoda Laura RS...

We need some fast stock cars in india. The RS is the best as of now.

Yeah, I saw both the light blue and dark blue colored hatches. Could take the snap of light bluish version.
