Default Saw Volvo S80

Hey friends, i saw Volvo S80 undergoing testing in ARAI. sadly didnt manage to take pics. when this car is gonna launch in india?

It was supposed to have been launched later this year. have no update though.
BTW- I see many S60s in the Chanakyapuri area here.. Lots of embassies you see!!

Has Volvo tied up with anyone for their passenger car manufacturing/sales? I don't think they will do too well here, especially with MB, BMW, and Audi already in the fray.

Volvo is owned by Ford so they do have a ready made partner if they need to start selling, Though i highly doubt that Volvo would want to share showroom sapace with Ikons and fiestas.

Dont know about the manufacturing/assembling part but as far as sales volvo india will do it alone,they are in the process of establishing their own dealerships is what i last heard about them and the cars[Volvo S80 and the Volvo XC90 ] should be here by the last quarter of 2007.
