There are 2 models now the S and the V. The V has the extra features and the misty violet colour.

The S is the same as the older model but they have now added aux-in for the music system.

It's an option you have you pay 60k Extra to get those additional things in "V" Variant , Imo It's not worth it .

CIVIC 1.8V MT : Rs.1151000

It was my first car and had zero idea of how much/less things should cost. After three cars and eight months now I have realized these things are better done aftermarket. No more dealings with the Honda dealer here.

yes agreed 65k is too much for a set of fog lamps and leather upholstery.if you were to compare the honda city.an additional 65k on the gxi variant gets you the vtec engine,14"alloys,a double din music system, optitron meter, fog lamps.
so in comparison honda is just fleecing consumers with the "v" variant on the civic.

I use Fog lamps not in fog but to watch out for the tons of potholes and other irregularities that appear all of a sudden on Bangalore roads. They seem to light up the area closer to the car much better than the headlights as the throw of light is much lower and closer to the car.
I use it all the time not on Civic but on Corolla.
It also helps to drive with parking lights at times with the fog lamps on e.g. in parking lots with people around, so the lights don't hurt anybody.

Its way overpriced for the amount of "extras" you get.

OT, read that Honda was going to stop production of hybrid accords because of low sales. One reason quoted(by analysts) was that it was overpriced(compared to camry).
Here is the link
Honda to discontinue hybrid Accords - Automotive - MSNBC.com

But I think Civic 'V' is still going to sell because of the brand name.

heheh.. Just as I thought. Everyone seems to think Honda is taking pple for a ride with this latest 60K increase for Civic "V".

Thought I'll say something positive about Honda for a change

Ya true man! I feel deprived of the goodies, but for the price hike, I think I might not regret with 1.8 S

How many of you would welcome a change to the rear of the Civic with the likes of the US verison ? I would love it ! Adds a lot of elegance to the car IMHO. Compare the pics below.
