So free insurance is being offered... in Bangy tht makes it 4.85 OTR

sounds like a good deal.. almost equal with a Swift VXi. And the finance of 8.99% definitely makes it more enticing

It better does! Interestingly, when I first met the Sienna, I always used to recall the thud on the W123 Mercedes that I used to experience as a child. Now that I have a W124, ironically, its doors remind me of the Palio's. This is easily something that I cannot explain to most people when I am talking about the Palio. Not easy for everyone to perceive.

Dunno about your car but my Palio 1.2 ELX pre-nv gives me 13-14 kmpl without AC and 11-12 kmpl with AC in city. Also if u have a pre-nv palio there is an odo error. It under reads by 6-7 kms for every 100 kms travelled compared to a wagon r or a swift. If i take this error into account my fuel average is even more.

well i guess most of you guys missed out on the part that lower weight,same power=higher power to weight ratio...

@NIMZ: the price also includes octroi.

@Hellspawn: While power to weight ratio has improved, I cant help but think that the engine has been tweaked for more efficiency such as changing gear ratios.

at the rate of 8.99% its a fantastic buy..compared to the 12% and 13% that new cars come with, however why arent they many around?

Hi nbr, what all discounts did you get?? 8.99%, Insurance, corporate discount.. anything else. Could you please share the OTR and the freebies you got. Would help..

assuming the new palio 1.6 is 20kg lesser, what would that translate to FE figures as? another km or more?

btw, i hear 1.1 gives 16+ if driven properly. thats more than what the FE junta can ask for!

The old palio looked better than the new one in Formula red maan.. Though the stile 1.6 looks amazing in black..

Negotiations still going regarding "corporate "discount..Meanwhile, the dealer in Mangalore has promised free accessories for the car.Also, the reason to buy in maglaore is because there is a difference of Rs 3000 b/w M"lore and B"lore.

Dont buy Black, its my personal advice, since the Palio is just 1.1 it will really need the AC most of the time with the black colour and since AC will be stressed alot there maybe power problems, this is the same reason why i didnot go for black for Swift and went for pearl mettalic white, small cars are not so efficient in cooling.
