I was hoping the next Toyota launch would be the VIOS.

u-imv was launched some time back in few asian countries. it also came as a scoop in auto magazines saying that < it would replace Qualis.Later now this is the new rumour . early next year Qualis will be off the showrooms and after that dont expect any new launch till 2007 ! so you can buy hYUNDAI AND USE TILL 2007 !

Nope Toyota, the Xenia has not been launched anywhere and only a select few have had the chance to see the blue print abroad. I think I read this article in todays edition of the Economic Times.

If the Xenia is launched it should sell well given the quality levels of Toyota. The Qualis is proof of this. It may have looked like a dabba .. no offence to anyone here but the quality levels the Qualis came with made it a best seller. Good looks with quality, good service and a killer price should make it a great buy

Cheers

GTO - The model what you had mentioned has been launched in both Diahatsu and Toyota platform. Both of them are doing well. IF you had mentioned U-IMV that is the model and IMV is the model that is goig to be launched in Thailand this August and will be exported to many countries from there . Later early next year IMV will be launched in India ie Feb 2005 replacing Qualis .

The Xenia/Avanza is gonna replace the Qualis??How can that be. The car is labelled as a small car in Japan [B+ seg in India].

The Qualis is a MUV. So how can a B+ small car replace an MUV.

The Toyota site says that its gonna be a 7 seater. And its gonna be available with a 1.0/1.3L engine. Now do u think that engine shud be used for a people carrier??
