Hyundai's new Before service Car checkup scheme
Hyundai has started something called as before service check-up they say its free and is a 17point checkup before service at your doorstep or wherever we want it to be.
They have taken up the hutch tagline
Would this be beneficial or is this a marketing gimmick?

If they are ready to come whenever called for check up, and without huge bills, then its always welcome.
However, SOUNDS LIKE A MARKETING GIMMICK to try and negate the service advantage Maruti holds over Hyundai.

Hmmmmm... this is surely a marketing gimmick. However a checkpoint to go through before the car goes for service can be handy IMO. Sometimes you get to know about some small issues, at their inception stages, which otherwise you would have missed out on. Once you know that you can always tell your service adviser that you wanted it attended upon.
Btw, they just do a checkpoints analysis. They won't repair anything free IMO.
