My visit to Mahindra - Team-BHP

Today! was one of the best day of my life.... i went to Nashik with my dad in the Mahindra Automobile Plant. Here Scorpio, Bolero, Invader, Maxx are made!I was amazed that in India v have such a good, clean, modern production plant! First i saw the paintshop and press-shop for all vehicles except the Scorpio!.. Then came scorpios turn... totally machined assembly line with all the modern machines..i saw the whole process from the chassis to the main car! those fresh Scorpios that just come out of the assembly line are... so beautiful!
PS: For those who thought the 4 wd scorpio was stopped ... it hasnt!
Its just u have to order.its like tailor made

i saw 4-5 4wd Scorpios!

Secondly... in the development sector there was a Scorpio cabin bein worked on... hopefully it may become the Scorpio pick-up truck!

There was a Bolero with 2 doors... its wheel base was much smalled than the invader... it had Scorpio headlights!... it looked like some one just fitted a BOlERO on the Santro wheelbase!

Anyways!.... gr8 company, gr8 visit... gr8 day!!!

though as much as i do like the Scorpio, i hate the fact that they aren't crash tested. ignorance has its limits. unless they have done the crash tests later, and i may not be aware of them. in that case i take it back. if not, they should wake up. computer simulations are still no substitute for real life.

Great report Stratos . Nothing like a visit to a car panlt for any automobile enthusiast. Maybe you can organise a trip for us someday

forgot to mention...! there is a special part for LHD vehicles... the export ones.! The Bolero Camper goes to Africa... and as u know Scorpio r for Italy...they call is GOA there???
