Is there a WagonR Stingray for India and when? - Team-BHP

Hi BHPians,
Pardon my ignorance on latest market news but is there any news of the WagonR Stingray coming to india? If so when? Here's what i found w.r.t Japan market

one of my friends mentioned it is expected to come here in 08 - is this true?

WagonR Stingray is not coming to India.
The new WagonR is the Suzuki Splash which will come here in 2008.

Bring this and Maruti shoots itself in its foot - especially after the image-building exercise from the Swift and SX4.

Well now i see why i for one would not be wanting to buy it (even if Godfather makes an offer i cant refuse

)
If the Splash is a successor for WagonR in 08, i dont see a Stingray reaching anywhere near it.
Somehow i didnt find this when i searched for it. Thanks DCEite.

oh actually .. the new wagon r 2008 for the europen markets (which yeah has its most design cues from the splash) might make its way to india, seeing the success of maruti building a new image with the european styled sx4 and swift.

looks slightly better than the cosmetic job that wagonR just went thru. whats the big deal about it anyway....even if this is launched here, i don't think it'll hold a candle to the swift or SX4.

wayy to much bling!!! looks like it came straight out of a gangsta movie. whenever i see such bling-ed up cars i am thinking BIG BOOM BOXES!! they look like a big stereo with shiny metal on it.
