Hi guys,
Here are "inside" pics of a new car being developed. The car will be undergoing a 1 year testing and hopefully will be launched in India late next year. The car is already being sold as a D-segment car in India. Guess what car is this.

From the looks of it

I feel its most problably the 3.0 litre V6 Honda Accord

ACCORD baby! But it has been only a year since the current gen accord was launched in the US, thus typically the next gen should be apprx another 3 years away. The rear lights look dead out of an Accord, but the interiors and the front end dont. Well, I know it aint no Sonata...is not a Toyota either..and definitely not a Mondeo!

My take - I'll start with a Ford or Hyundai. Narrow it down to Mondeo/Sonata......
Sonata - best guess.
Like GTO says, the 2004 Accord won't get a makeover so quick. Besides, work is in progress for the Accord hybrid.

Also, look at the placeholder for the emblem. Can't be a Honda.

Its a SONATA. YES ITS A SONATA.
The 2005 Hyundai Sonata. Well now this time its a copy of the European Honda Accord. I guess they are fed up of copying British and German models. Japs, beware. The Koreans are about to strike.

It just amazes me that Hyundai rips of other car companies designs so blatantly and gets away with it!!

I wonder whether the companies like merc, jag, honda etc have tried to do something about it, and i wonder what the laws on automotive plagarism are!

Holy ......!!!! Honda should get its entire legal department and sue the snakes out of the Koreans! This is not only a blatant copy of the Accord, its also an insult to see a Honda design with the other "H" logo on the front and rear.

V12, I was so dead sure that it is the accord because of the rear lights. First they copied the Jag and C Class with the current generation, now the Accord....Whats next, the Tata Magna?

u right gto. the had to copy the Accord. After all its the best sellin car in the US. They cud stoop to any extent. Now imagine if they get this car to India?? We already have the US Accord. Next year we'll have a European Accord lookalike. People who cannot afford the Accord will buy the 2005 Sonata and change the logos to Honda. EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. The very thought of it scares me.

The difference between a real accord and a fake will show at red lights....AND at corners. Buttttttttttt dont leave this out....You'll see only the rear passengers of the Sonata throwing up (Remember the report on how wallowing the ride is at the rear of the Sonata? An Hyundai exec actually threw up in the back seat during a test)

Over that last couple of years, notice how most car manufacturers are moving in the direction of European styling.
First the Altima, then Maxima, then the Ford five hundred (new Taurus). To me, most of these cars bear an uncanny resemblance to the VW Passat. Look at the curves on this one !
Yeah, the tail lights look much like the Accord.
Hyundai folks must've gone crazy !!
