when we went we used an focus sedan an estate.
the sedan was new so no comments
the estate however had done over 90000 km and still willingly went over 180 kmph when it was fully loaded with 4 people and 6 bags .
i want to buy the car next year when there will be some disc. on the car.
otherwise i will tell my dad to go in for a preowned mondeo or skoda diesel or perhaps an accent viva crdi or something cheaper which can be modded up like a fiat petra diesel with turbochargers.
how does that sound.
oh well
can anyone elaborate on the new model
how it looks and all that and some pics if possible.

i also saw the ford fiesta
it looks awesome and i loved the design of the interiors.
wish ford launches it in india .
oh well perhaps later

cheers
lamborghini

If i am not mistaken, in 1997 or 1998, car and bike had an article abt these talera guys collaborating with a chap from belgium or somewhere around there to go into the business of stretching mercs. This european chap who is into this stretch limo biz in a big way was very impressed with the quality of workmanship of talera. Nothing has come of it yet i guess. And does talera give good service sanket? just curious to know.
Have seen a dark green focus station wagon here in bombay.

The focus 2-door and 4-door souped-up SVT hatchbacks are both great cars. But keeping in mind their higher prices, Ford would probably launch the less expensive sedan trims in India to begin with.
A well laid out interior, steady handling and a high seating position make this car my first choice for a compact rental. I'd expect the pricing to be in the Optra territory.

The reliability verdict of the Focus in the American market has improved from 'Fair' to 'Good' over the last 2 years. Definitely worth buying.
Hook up with somebody who works with Ford and you get a good discount.

Note that the euro focus differ from the yankkee ones in terms of quality, engine and suspension settings. The euro one is more superior

The American Focus differs a bit from it's Euro counterpart, yes; the obvious changes you could expect are greater steering assist and a softer suspension. These are done keeping in mind American driving conditions. However, note that the Focus SVT is a collaborative model and was developed mainly at Detroit by the Special Vehicles Team, with German and British parts (engine). From my personal experience, the Zetec engine is a bit rough even with the 170hp rating, and would be beaten hands down by a smoother engine like the i-VTEC.
The American Focus' quality has improved significantly over the last two years, but I said that earlier.
