Question Will this be the facelifted Force Trax ?

The Force Traveller has undergone a facelift which is similar to the one displayed in Auto Expo 2004. There are reports that the Trax will also undergo a facelift in the next year or so. Will it be similar to the Trax displayed in Auto Expo 2004 ?

Are you happy with this look? Or should Force Motors try for a different look?

Comments please

I personally liked the look but feels a bit flimsy and plasticky.

The headlights look disgusting, but the overall shapes looks like wrangler-ish(atleast to me, the 1st photo). The sides look too protruding, very ugly. It would be nice if they take it off and put those big offroading tyres in .

NO..I dont like it all..
Looks are very Plastic..I mean it makes the car feel like a Toy..
Something More Muscular would have looked good..

The earlier design was nice..They just had to make some lines smoother..and give a little muscled up look..
thats all..and some good Dark Colours..

I think the one on the bottom right is going to come out next. Not a bad design. That is supposed to be the 'new Judo'.

The main pic of the short wheel base trax is more of a show car. The vehicle to watch out for (as lurker pointed out) is the grey trax in the bottom right pic.

Somehow the manufacturer's have taken a liking to suck out the character from UVs. Mahindra did it with the Bolero and now Force...

That new look is already on the roads for sometime now (grey trax). But I liked the old round light look better.

They seem to be copying Mahindra's Bolero move by move.
Step 1: Same old design. Not to be changed.
Step 2: Add metal finish, paint job, front grill, color scheme and voila!

I mean, their dies would be already depreciated since all these years!! Atleast introduce some sensible curves - why not take a look at Scorpio instead? Or even the Sonalika Rhino - it has some curves worth mentioning, not same old box :(

True, but the same philosophy has been successfully adopted and repeated by all other auto cos too.

With equally unchanging market response - buy because you must.

M&M truly opened up the personal SUV market with the Scorpio - Indian vehicle with much better looks and a powerful engine. I'm not much knowledgeable, but Force Motors had a solid platform, a good engine and a reliable vehicle. They sat on their backsides, and are still where they once were (or so my limited perception)

I have always felt that Force Motors have under achieved with the Judo and the Trax. Yes, they are a 'force' in certain rural markets. But if they could spruce up the interiors, refine the powertrain and pay a little more attention to their urban market, there is a whole new breed of owners to tap into.

If the pics above are indeed the new Trax models, then its an improvement. But they have a long way to go if they are to pull in urban or even semi-rural buyers looking for a utility/fun activity vehicle.

well , same philosophy has been applied by other mfgs too, but how successful has it been? look at the zen classic, IMHO it was the most ugly looking vehicle out of the maruti stable.

I wish it would be the new face lifted trax.. Looks great. It hasn't helped the stretch version though, that still looks boxy.
