hmmm maybach wanna-be @ wdb210 price+

@ Danlalan , i dont like it either but someone probably came to DC and asked for it and payed him for it , DC doesnt use this car ( any clue what he uses? ) he gets payed for it, pretty well that too and in most probabilities he hasnt suggested this as well, yes u get the money but at the cost of your reputation ? , now thats what I dont undetrstand.

But whatever its always diffcult when a customer walks in and has this abstract design in his mind no matter how bad it is.. the customer wants it it gives him happiness I guess , delivering that abstact design from customers mind to reality is something for which hats down to him, instead of sitting back and cribbing about car designs DC got down made things himself and that too quite some time back, yup they dont come out great most of the time but thats another story.

Well i would appreciate DC for working on the Merc & giving it a look which no designer in India ever thought about.A well executed design to give a very musculine & a tight look to the Merc, infact when i saw it first at the Auto Expo,i was bowled..But then its everyones way of looking at it.

But are you sure that DC has just done the design on exteriors??
I mean if it is just the exteriors that he has touched upon then its a total Dsegin Crap that he has done, but if it is interior design that is taken care of well we might have some surprise within it.....Just my thoughts on it.

Sorry T-Bhpians, but I beg to differ. Although I am not a big fan of DC, I feel that is a good design. I really like the bold treatment given to the grille and those projector lamps. Atleast compared to his other "outrageous" designs, this defininitely is more pleasing to the eyes. I really like the projector lamps used in the rear (not visible in the pic). They look futuristic without looking silly.

Anyway, styling is highly subjective and its perception differs from person to person.

By the way, shouldn't this thread be in Modifications & Accessories.

This was done for his first exhibition in Geneva. This is done on a w201 the first version, not exactly the most elegant of cars in the first place

Very true , Infact the rear taillamps had been done real bad . Compared to that W210 was really a welcome change

The biggest blunder!
The car is being restored back to original.

I respect him as a good interior designer. I have seen his works (means pics) where interior beautifully converted and utilised. External looks were not that appealing to me in most of the cases
