Renault has it's truck lineup competing with the likes of MB,Scania,Fiat,etc in europe so it will have engine ranging from 125 bhp to 600 bhp for trucks[ diesel]...... and same will be the case with gear boxes. or may be ZF best in the business. Mahindra did mention it's imported some [most of them] components for this project. cummins has good 6-8 cylinder engines that can produce this kind of power.
and as for chassis indian are really good at designing .... only our economy was a problem until now for developing something like Hummer as the price would be very high and selling it would be difficult but now it's different.
I now many members from teambhp will have started saving from yesterday itself for this CAR...............

Saw these in Dlf today,dont have any details on the specs.
To be launched in 2008,i guess it would only be available for the Indian Army.Was already v late for work,so .... just clicked a few & drove off.

This sure looks good, I'm sure no one would dare mess with someone driving one of these. I guess it's huge even though it does not look that way in the pictures, but sure a vicheal to watch out for.

Cool! "Hamara Humvee". Looks very close to the US one. I heard about TATA developing a similar all terrain for the army too, was recently tested in the Deserts near Dubai. Looks like M&M and TATA's are at war in most of the segments and now even the ARMY vehicle segment.

Our soldiers can have a great Humvee "Race Day" in any one of the Joint exercises they keep having with the US army!!

Would like to see M&M to come out with a civilian version of this.

Great pictures dhiraj. Thanks for sharing. The front end reminds me of the Trax and the grille seems right out of a Scorpio. Huge thing though. Would love to see a civillian version of this.
