My Xing has done 71000 kms, and gives me a good FE of 15-16 kmpl. AC is on 100% of the time i drive. I make sure to switch off the engine when I am at traffic signals. I generally do not accelerate hard or brake hard. Call it sedate driving, but its proving to be good. I am happy with it.

Santro 1.1 LP ZipPlus, 60K Kms done. 16km/Ltr on highway with 100% AC under normal driving conditions.

Splendor Feb'00 model, done 76109 KM and engine unopened till date. Mileage was in the region of 65+ for the initial 3 - 4 months of use in Chennai. Relocated to Bangalore during June'00 and observed it improve gradually to about 73 Km over the next six months. Always filled super premium petrol at the Jalahalli IOC bunk, and always full tank. Always serviced the bike at Liberty Motors, Peenya.

Shifted back to Chennai in June'05 with about 52000 Km on the odo. The bunks patronised here are either the IOC bunk adjacent to Trident Hotel or the Shell bunk at Chromepet. Mileage remained in the seventies till the odo read about 63000 KM and then gradually declined to about 65. Recently I changed to my third rear tyre and this time upsized to 3.00 X 18.00 instead of 2.75 X 18.00 and may be because of this, latest mileage observed was 62.

The second vehicle I own is a brand new Alto bought five days ago. Mileage yet to be checked!

I own a Tata Indigo XL DICOR Classic which has done 18k kms, gives me an average of 12-12.5 KMPL in City. Best recorded was 13.25 KMPL in city. Last Highway drive was before its second service when it had done around 10k kms. FE was 21.5 KMPL on highway and 16.5 KMPL on ghat roads (Wayanad). BTW, it is always driven around with its AC on 100%

Calling all Ritz(P) and A-Star owners to post fuel efficiency data here. I searched around web and found that A-Star had avg of 25kmpl in many cities in the Maruti Mileage rally, wanted to know data for bangalore specifically from owners.

Hi,

I have a Swift Vdi 2008 model. Done close to 10k kms now. I live in bangalore. I have driven mostly on Highways between Bangalore and Mangalore both Via Mysore and Hassan, and this is where I got the figures for Highway milleage.

In City - 15 km with 60-70% A\C
Highway - 17-18 km\ltr with 60-70% A\C

AC - Almost always on. Switched off temporarily only when too cold

AC : Almost always on.
