Alto Lxi, 2008 August:

Highway drive: 20.79 km/litre with a/c, calculated over an up-down highway drive of 341.5 km, tank-full to tank-full method (16.42 litres, Indian Oil Extra Premium Petrol). Up and down journey was during early morning hours on Kerala MC road, with very less traffic.

City drive: Varies between 17.0 and 18.75 km/liter with a/c for my office drive, depending on traffic. Half of the drive here is on the National Highway with little traffic.

Ducati Monster 696, in the UK, gives me about 35mpg or 12.4 kmpl. Whereas I used to average about 14kmpl in a Honda City, with town and highway driving.

old 2004 CRV 2litre about 6.5 to 7, 2008 CRV 2.4litre, 5speed auto, 7 to 8, in city in this weather with ac off. but older car is smoother and more responsive because of being 4 speed auto.
