Mine is Safari Storme Vx 4*4 (Diesel) / June 2013

Usually driving conditions : 80 kms run to the day; morning 40 in 1 hour; evening 40 in 1.25-1.50 hours; runtime 0730-1800 hours mostly Noida - Gurgaon & back

City Mileage (with 100% AC on) : FE of 12.25-12.50 kpl consistently

Highway mileage (with 80% AC on, primarily to keep windows shut, and with Highway speeding, doing approx. 65 kph average in plains and peaking at 120-140, 40 kph average in hills) : FE of 11.50-12.00 kpl.

Disclaimer : when 4*4 used recently, FE fallen to 10.50 kpl

PS : FE clocked using tank full - kms done - tank full for distance covered method...

Would add 0.25-0.50 for 4*2 options ?

thanks,

B

2013 Toyota Liva GD Xlcusive

402.6 Kms done 19.07 litres of diesel which translates to FE of 21.11 kmpl.

90% highway and 10% city. On highway speed range was between 90 to 110 and short burst of 120-130 with 100% AC on with three passengers and boot fully loaded.

10% city drive must have ruined the the overal FE

A recent trip to a nearby village. Total distance around 450 kms.
Highway 90%, city 10%.
Chevrolet Beat Tcdi LT(O). 5 people onboard with boot full of luggage. ACC on 25 degree celcius for almost 80% of the time.
Avg speed was 80-85 kmph, with variations from 70-100 kmph. Never crossed 100.
Avg fuel economy of approx 28 kmpl, checked by tankful method. Very happy. :clap :clap

I begged the ford fiesta classic to stretch a litre of diesel to the maximum and the tdci unit returned 22 kmpl. DTE after full tank is 914.now.

It was a FE conscious drive, 4 people in car, 70 to 90 kmph, coasting wherever possible, 32 psi, night trip(.no ac).

Hyundai i10 1.2 Kappa2 Automatic: Getting a constant 10-12 kmpl with usage of Dwarka to Gurgaon every other day and AC 100% ON.

2010 dec Volkswagen polo 1.2 highline done 30100 kms till date

City mileage - 9-10 kmpl
Highway - 14.5 kmpl . Doing speeds between 120 - 140 most of the time .

The low city mileage is probably due to its low running . It just clocks 6 kms in a day on most days because my dad's office is just 3 kms one way from home .

I'm getting a mileage of 25 kmpkg on CNG these days... mainly because I use the car on mixed rides, than on city conditions & office hours previously.

My car is 2003 Santro Xing with odo on 92k+ kms.
