well crazy actually it a 1.3 or a 1.5.
there ius only a single exaust.
describing the car as the most horrible thing in the world is just an understatement.
man the car must look cheap with the decals .
the palio doesnt look as bad in comparision though ( remember i am not saying it looks good though). i kinda like the side look but hate the front and rear job.
i personally will never send my car to DC unless i want it streched.
i think the city looks best in black and with huge alloys and a spoiler and maybe skirts too and the palio looks good just the way it is.

cheers and please warn the faint hearted before posting such scary pictures

guys,

dc had designed the 100 bhp ikon gt that was displayed at the autoexpo some years back. the car was to be launched and i had emailed ford india abt the same. they replied no plans as yet.

coming back to dc, that was one ikon that was an absolute looker ...looked mean and muscular with sexy spoky alloys and low pro tyres .....

autocar also had a pic of the car with narian karthikeyan alongside....will try to get the pic.

it was finished in orange shade that absolutely enhanced the looks...

cheers.

ps- if anyone can find that issue of autocar , please email me the pic.

me thinks ford designed the sxi model taking cues from this model......if only they cud have increased the bhp to 100 or more.....

we could have had a royal fight with the honda city 1.5/vtec....

sadly ford let things drift.....

Well, some of DC's creations are pretty good looking and others are absolutely ridiculous. What I positively dislike is the "black eye treatment" on all his cars. Just look at all the cars he's worked on. All of them have black on and around their headlights. Come on, can't we be a bit more creative?

Hey N_C,

I remember seeing a pic of an Ikon "gt" in autocar, except, it definitely wasnt orange!.... i seem to remember it having a (silver n blue?) design painted on it, not just a flat colour. And BOY was that a good looking car, cept it was a tiny pic. Does anyone know what i am talking about and have more pics???

DC's ikon is not too bad looking IMO, but cant really tell in this pic.

Well to narrow peoples search, i just checked March 2000 (No. 7) and it wasnt in there....... so it must be in jan or feb 2000, neither of which i have.

Would appreciate a scan or digipic of it being put up

thnx

These same look with every single car model is really getting over the top. It reminds me of early 60s when all American cars makers started using chrome wherever they could.
People couldn't take it after a point in time and said: Why can't they dip the car in a chrome vat and be done with it!!! *

not good designs, in the begining they were a refreshing change but now the design ideas seem to have dried up and the same designs are getting repeated...:(
