Default 1,00,000 kms service of 5-Speed 800

Got my 100K kms service done and here are the major bill amount.

Engine oil - 3l -Rs.610/-
Gear Oil - 2L - Rs.444/-
Stabilizer bar bush and mount -Rs. 80/- , Labor Rs.210/-
Front Strut mount -Rs.62/- , Labor Rs.600/-
Water pump belt Rs.62/-
Paid Service Rs.650/-
Engine Flushing Rs.600/-
Rear Break Shoe ASSY - Rs.360/-
Plus consumbles, alignment, balancing etc and taxes totaling 5900/-

There is one entry for SHIM- 3 x Rs.30 = Rs. 90./- what is this part ?
similarly - HOSE , fuel tank breather ?!!!

Overall I think this bill was a tad higher, the engine analyser was not reguired I guess. Another point to note was, I was told the timing belt should be changed at 100K, but its not been done.

Service at MASS, Mandovi Motors. Next oil change at 110k and 120k(gear)

this is what I spent on maintenance(beautification excluded) my Versa in 49kkms in 5.5 years
  • Engine oil+filter change every 10k kms - Rs.1000 each time(5 lits oil each time)
  • Gear plus differential oil every 24000 kms - 2.5 lit(approx Rs500) each time)
  • Nulon at 40 k kms -Rs.410 - the engine has become super smooth
  • Coolant change every 20 k kms - 2lit coolant plus 3 lit water)Rs.300 each time
  • Wiper blades changed once with Bosch - Rs.260(got a complimentary pair of blades from Syndicate after that)
  • Both struts rubber repalced - bearings and washers intact - Rs.200
  • Throttle Body cleaning every 15 k kms - Rs.300 each time
  • Tyres replaced at 48000 kms with the stock ones still having 10k kms tread left - changed them with stock L607 ;Got Rs2000 for the old set of five - net Rs.11800
  • All front caliper slider pins and grease boots repalced - this is a TVS Girling part and costs a mere Rs.140 a kit(Rs.280 overall)
  • Rear wheel cylinders replaced - Rs.340 for both - Bosch India(KBX)
  • Plugs changed at 45000 kms -Rs.240 a set
  • Tappet cover gasket and Tappet cover O Rings(4) - Rs.430

+1. this is a major risk. a busted belt will be VERY expensive. Most people replace it at 80k just to be on the safe side

It also depends on the way teh vehicle has been run and the age:if teh car is even 8 yrs old and has done just about 40k kms, changing the timing belt makes sense

Replacement is also a must if the car has been in water , which is quite common these days

So far I have spent Rs.238 only for my 15K KMs old Aveo. Feels good to be in a Cashless promise.

This Rs.238 was the result of our "Adventure" in keeping the ignition key inside the car.

Gear Oil (Rs 597)
Air filter (Rs 155)
Fuel Filter (Rs 241)

I did not expect them to replace the wiper blades.
They were due for replacement but I prefer Bosch.
Anyways did not hold it big time as I have a long trip planned and the wipers might come in handy.

Issue with my cat con have been identified.
Replacement costs are 12k.

I have a thread created to find what alternatives are available and also to check if the diagnostic is correct.

Is it full synthetic? Price looks too little for ~3 litres?

10w30 looks too light for Wagon-R application? Mine is Jul-2002 model- I use 20w50 or 20w40 and I think Pune is cooler than Hyd? Did MASS recommend 10w30 or was it your preference? Any reason?

MASS did it.

I did not choose the oil.
The quantity is 3.3 Liters.

Will check the service manual later and update if there is some difference in service manual and the used oil.

Brakes related spare cost ...

1) Front Disc flexible hose -- Rs.196+taxes
2) Cylinder SUB ASSY, RR Wheel -- 173+taxes - Labour is 155/-
Others remains unchanged for regular servicing

Do the billed for weights used wheel balancing include wastages ? or I should be able to see them all on the wheels balanced ?

I am the second owner of my car, bought when it had done 68K. The previous owner (A lady doctor, cheauffer driven) had been doing regular services at TVS My Car and last done when the odo clocked 65K . She also showed me the service bills at time of sale. Following are the works I had done since:

Fiat Palio D ELX/2004
ODO:73K
Autherised Dealer: No, but at a known workshop who has been with us since our Ambi days. Amount mentioned is in the format (Cost of Spare Parts+ Labour)

Tie-rod end and Knuckle:2000 + 500

Air-con Thermostat:900+100

Clutch Master Cylinder:3000 + 750

Brake Pad: 350 (Inclusive of Spare parts)

Its been six months since my buy so the cost would be around Rs.2766 pm.

I hope I am not thwarted any soon..Its all prayers+fuel that it runs on each day I start my baby.

The fact that my car runs 30 odd Kms on weekdays , 20-40 Kms on Weekends and its a second-hand how do you feel the expense is suppose to happen. Is this expected or should I say that more is coming my way?

Timing belt change is the next big expense which comes around 12k, which is essential for a car done this mileage. Also Palio D fuel filter costs around 1.2K. Can you mention the price at which you picked up the car?

I don't know about Diesel. But for the Petrol 1.2 it was I guess around 1600-1700 around 2-3 months back.
