Well considering the "balls up" that Peugeot did in India with PAL and aborting the Tata project, the only way in is through their other group company Citroen

Agreed. But the fancy may only last until people realise that Citroen is actually a sister concern of Peugeot. Unless they get in some really innovative products with equally innovative strategies, they would rather save the effort.
