All the dealers and the CEOs have seen the car in flesh at their anual meet in mumbai.I had talked to a dealer and he doesnt seem to be that happy.I dont know the reason for that ,maybe his mind did a comparo between linea and GP,lolz. And thats obvious also since these are the latest offerings from FIAT.

My guess is that FIAT have kept the Punto's price as low as possible and this means having the Dealers get a lower commission on each GP car sold.

Hi Ram!
What do mean he compared between Linea and GP. I am not too worried about the shape as i like it already, what i am worried about though is the price!
Did he say that the price is too high for a car of that size when compared to Linea?

Will it be the 1.4 16v StarJet? Or the 1.4 8v FIRE?

@sidgo7's post, referred to above, mentions 1.4 90ps 114NM. Kinda confusing. Since the StarJet has 95ps with 125NM, and the FIRE is 77ps with 114NM.

ps: sorry if this has been discussed before. 50+ pages is a lot of posts !

I believe this is the 1.4 with 8v. We are expected to get the 16v one. Same as petrol Linea.

Are they really bringing it, huh? I am almost sick hearing the launch for long.
And don't expect any magic from Fiat. The diesel will be the same as the 75 bhp multijet doing duty in the Swift and Vista. And the pricing should be slightly lesser than the Swift if they want to sell GP in some serious numbers. But Fiat is yet to take in the confidence of the customers.

Relax, just a few days more. The sales training has already started

However, what is wrong with the 75bhp multijet? Do we have any of the Swift/Vistsa/Palio owners complaining about the engine?
How many of those 75 ponies will we really be using before being stopped by the khaki and then fined for everything?

The pricing is the only factor we are waiting for.Dont think they'll get it that wrong, specially when the launch is within a week of a similar launch!
