Cars expected to be launched/relaunched in India in 2008

Heres a list of cars to be relaunched/launched newly into the Indian market in 2008:

1. All new honda city[based on a new platform] compared to the present honda city-> only petrol option.
2. A new toyota corolla -> both petrol as well as diesel options.
3. Hyunda getz diesel.
4.Maruti swift sedan-> Only a petrol engine initially.
5.Maruti SX4 sedan with diesel engine.
6. New tata indica[petrol+diesel option].
7. New tata indigo[petrol+diesel option].
8. New tata Safari[2.2l diesel expected by end of 2007 itself]
9. One lakh ex-showroom priced car from Tata.
10. Mahindra scorpio eagle[2.2l diesel expected by end of 2007 itself]
11. Mahindra Ingenio.
12. Skoda fabia[expected again end of 2007 itself]
13. New honda accord
14. New mercedes benz c-class.
15. New mitsubishi lancer
16. Chevrolet Captiva.
17. Mitsubishi Outlander.
18. Facelifted Ford Fiesta
19. Chevrolet aveo[both u-va as well as sedan] to get diesel engines.

Now for some possible launches based on rumours:

1. Existing corolla may be relaunched as a c segment car instead of the existing D segment car,so the car will be stripped down further in all probability have a lower variant engine[maybe just maybe a diesel engine as well].

2. Also todays ET mentions that the Santa Fe might replace the Tucson in 2008.
3. A new Reva ?
4. Possibly the Suzuki Splash in lieu of the WagonR

6. GV with a JTD engine (ok this is wishful thinking - but MUL .. pleeeassse)
7. Fiat Grand Punto
8. Fiat Linea

I think this months Car magazine has a list of 52 new cars for 2008. Don't buy Car, so don't have that as a reference.

This car IMO with 178 bhp diesel engine is going to be a better deal than the 'to-be-launched' Laura vRS diesel.

I have a strong feeling that C30 will be SKD. It is in the class of the Mini/1 series/GTI so it will be the first entry in that segment. The loaded top-spec version will then cost same as Laura vRS.
